Dr Helen Tang-Murphy, Clinical Psychologist, has over 15 years experience working with children and their parents, working in the Child Youth and Family Services across several Local Health Districts for NSW Health.
She specialises in working with parents and children (age 0-12 years) on:
Adjustment to parenting, including post natal depression
Managing challenging child behaviour
Managing challenging emotions, including prolonged meltdowns
Managing child anxiety
Managing selective mutism
Parenting in the context of concerns or diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD)
Adjustment to a neurodevelopmental diagnosis for the child (including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD)
School reluctance and school refusal
Bullying
Navigating changes to parenting in the context of parental separation
She holds a PhD in Psychology, Master of Psychology (Clinical), and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of New South Wales.
She is an AHPRA approved supervisor.
