A long time ago, my dad and I traveled to this place far away for the holidays in the mountains!
It was SUPER cold and there was snow everywhere, so I had to wear my big, poofy jacket. We stayed in a little cabin that was not too far from this old city nearby. I really enjoyed walking through the town, it was like a blast to the past! I would love to go back again someday… but I heard that people can’t really travel there anymore and that it became pretty dangerous…

The Northwestern Mountains contains the Peaks of Sierra, and the District of Cinders.
This region was once known as the coldest in the land, but since the onset of the apocalypse, the weather has deteriorated further, rendering it uninhabitable for humans. Towering snowy landscapes and massive cliffs now dominate the area, and rumors speak of creatures lurking beneath the vast white expanse, waiting for unsuspecting prey. Some are said to dwell even deeper, hidden in the newly formed canyons that have emerged in the wake of the cataclysm. Among the rivers that surround the mountains and heights, however, one may spot glaciers floating upon the waters for how colder the region has gotten throughout the cataclysm.
Once a bustling mountainous region known for its ski resorts and mining towns, the area is now encircled by towering mutated tree creatures, nicknamed "Sleeping Giants," capable of triggering deadly avalanches with a single movement. Despite being rich in valuable resources, such as rare ores in cliffside veins, the region has become largely inaccessible due to high mortality rates from harsh weather, treacherous heights, the ever-present danger of creatures with a different constitution, and avalanches. Key areas of interest, including old mining towns, ski resorts, and secluded mountain retreats, remain perilous yet enticing for those seeking its hidden treasures.

Located near the Snowy Peaks, this town is home to abandoned mining operations and old military bases, surrounded by deep canyons from which dangerous creatures emerge at night. The area is littered with remnants of the past, including towns from several decades ago. Despite the risks, the town offers valuable resources, including accessible minerals, leftover ammunition, military equipment, and scrap metal. The mining areas, military bases, and canyons serve as key sites for those brave enough to explore its hazards, especially those which are still left unexplored until now. The only way in is to pass through a long, cave, before one is to wander around the area to find the treasures they seek, letting one to take in deep breaths of the air around. However, once you step into a town within, it...seems to be filled with people? They come out at night, they feel warm and bright. Then sometimes when you sleep, you think you hear their voices as they descend to the canyons beneath.
