Olex2 is a widely recognized, integrated software package for solving, refining, and analyzing small-molecule crystal structures. It brings together powerful structure solution tools, refinement engines and validation features to create a highly efficient, single-environment workflow for chemical crystallography.
Hosted by Dr. Horst Puschmann: Join one of the founding members of OlexSys and an original developer of Olex2 to learn how to streamline your structure determination.
Cryo-electron microscopy methods and applications
Cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) is a high-resolution structural biology technique that enables the determination of biomolecular structures in near-native, vitrified states without the need for crystallization. The workshop will introduce core concepts of cryo-EM sample preparation, data acquisition, and image processing, with an emphasis on modern single-particle analysis workflows. It will also highlight the newly established cryo-EM facilities of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF), showcasing available instrumentation and infrastructure that support cutting-edge structural biology research in Greece. Hosted by Prof. Panagiotis Kastritis' team.
