SOFIA LENNOX

when she was fourteen, her family moved from bergen to glasgow. her dad's mother, sofia and tomas' grandmother, had fallen and was in the hospital. their parents decided to move from norway to scotland in order to take care of her and allow tomas and sofia to get to know her better. the twins didn't enjoy being uprooted in the middle of their school years, but sofia was the most torn. they left during the middle of the school year and football season. she had to take the rest of the season off until she could try out for a new team when the time came. she adjusted to a new school and speaking primarily in english about as well as she could. in the mean time, the family got a dog. their new puppy was a collie named max. sofia spent her free time between seasons training max. she also slowly started training him to do agility courses at the dog park. she was finally able to start playing football again for a youth club when the next season came around, and when she wasn't playing kept attending school and training max. as much as she had initially disliked their move from norway to scotland, she came to appreciate it. she got to know her grandmother better and became close with her. when sofia was sixteen years old, her grandmother died. it was devastating to her. her grandmother had been a dog trainer and had been helping sofia learn to train max. they had bonded over their love of animals, literature and history. she was so upset to have just made a relationship with her and lost her so quickly.

at seventeen, sofia moved on from playing in the youth league to playing for glasgow city wfc. she began playing for their under-19s team. she played on that team until she aged out of it and moved onto playing for glasgow city's second team. on the under-19 team, sofia played right midfield. she had previously played defense primarily, but her coach on the under-19s team saw potential for her to play better in the new position. she continued to play right midfield for glasgow city's second team.

sofia only played for glasgow city's second team for a season before she was transferred to bayern munich. when she moved to munich, she spoke no german. on the plane from glasgow to munich was when she started trying to learn the language. she was doing online language courses and listening to learning german podcasts, hoping for the best. she found an apartment and began her life living alone in a city where she knew no one for the first time. she played on bayern's second team, again as a right midfielder. when it became clear that she was staying in munich for a while because her contract had been signed for another year after that first season, sofia adopted a dalmatian puppy to keep her company at home. max stayed in scotland with her parents, but sofia wanted a pet to be her's. the puppy she adopted she named leonie, and similarly to max, she trained her herself. she also began doing agility courses and going on long runs with leonie when she was ready. when the season started, leonie came with sofia whenever that was possible and when it wasn't, leonie would go stay with one of sofia's friends in the who was able to take care of her while she travelled. after three seasons on bayern münchen's second team, sofia was moved up to their first team.

she spent two seasons on the first team at bayern before her contract was bought out by rebecca welton in order to start afc richmond's women's team. she had been approached by mrs. welton who offered her a spot on the new team, but it wasn't official until sofia met with their pr agent and came to london to see the pitch. she couldn't pass up on the opportunity to be one of the first members of the afc richmond women's team.
