for the most part, i stick to percy jackson canon up through blood of olympus. i have not read beyond that. i do not reference leo in threads generally, she and leo are not together.

in the homeric translation, the relationship between calypso and odysseus is not consensual. this is something that rick riordan has retconned in his version of calypso which is the version i am basing my portrayal off of. in percy jackson, it is explicitly stated (if not heavily implied, it's been a few years since i have read the books) that calypso has been cursed to fall in love with those who visit her island. her feelings for those who visit her are not fully her own, they have been forced upon her. calypso has no children with odysseus. in my portrayal, calypso is has not had nonconsensual sex with any of the men who have come to her island. period. this is not the only thing riordan retcons for the modern era, calypso also does not have human slaves on ogygia.

MAIN VERSE set at any point in history, calypso is a godess who is/was trapped on the island of ogygia, if she's freed from ogygia she maintains her magic

SOON TO BE MORTAL upon being freed from ogygia caused calypso to begin losing her magic and is slowly becoming mortal.

MARVEL / ETERNALS VERSE calypso was sent to earth with the other eternals to fight the deviants. her power in this verse is plant manipulation, she can draw forth any plant and help it grow or kill it. she is skilled at using various herbs she grows for healing, a skill she learned from ajax. she spent a long time with the eternals (until the early greek era). there was a growing rift between herself and the other eternals (especially druig) that ended with calypso being banished to the island of ogygia and druig using his abilities to trick her mind into thinking she was stuck there. thus, she gained her reputation from the odyssey of helping those sent there but never being able to leave. she was only freed from ogygia by ikaris in 2023 supposedly on ajax request in preparation for the emergence. in truth it was ikaris' idea, he used her banishment to turn her against the rest of the eternals. in the end, she joined the uni-mind.
