An endless platformer where portals at the end of each level take you through new worlds.

The first project I worked on
Designed a platformer focused around being able to endlessly play and unlock new parts of the game based on collected points
Designed an unlockable system that changes gameplay and gives players an edge
Initially was planned to only give the player new songs for levels, but decided that it would be better to give the player boons to help them gain points faster
Issues encountered:
Had no idea how to create an unlockable system
Initially, boons to the player were extremely unbalanced and were either very good or downright useless
How I worked to fix these issues:
Learned how to use PlayerPrefs in Unity to save data even when the application is closed and also implemented an erase data button that also deletes all save data regarding unlockables
Playtested for hours to find a good balance for the boons given to the player through unlocks so they weren't completely overpowered or useless
