Play as a contestant on a game show wielding a polarity gun while dragging a ball and chain along behind them.
Roles: Design Lead, Systems Designer, Level Designer
Led designers in designing levels and mechanics revolving around magnets and puzzle solving
Constantly iterated on how to improve puzzles so they would never make the player feel like it was the game's fault they couldn't solve puzzles
Pressure plates initially had three types, with two states:
Types:
Player weight (blue)
Ball weight (red)
Combined weight (purple)
All the above colors use the game's magnet motif colors
States:
Temporary
Permanent
Issues encountered:
Was too confusing for initial playtesters
No indicators for whether pressure plates were permanent or temporary
Caused softlocks because players could get stuck in areas where they needed combined weight without the ball
How I worked to fix these issues:
Scrapped the weight requirements
Implemented indicators created by art team to show whether a pressure plate was permanent or temporary
Made it so blue pressure plates are temporary and red pressure plates are permanent, still follows the game's magnet motif colors

Was the biggest level I worked on
Mixed pressure plates, moving magnets, and stationary magnets together to create puzzles
Issues encountered:
Players could softlock themselves behind the small gate
Players didn't know what the permanent pressure plate was for
The small gate closed too fast
Players struggled with the moving magnet platform because it didn't stop moving when reaching either end of its path
How I worked to fix these issues:
Made the platform thicker so players couldn't get stuck behind the gate
Added visual arrows that flash during gameplay to show points of interest and directionality
Made the wiring leading to the big gate more obvious to better indicate what the permanent pressure plate was for
Added a second of extra time before the small gate closes
Had the moving magnet platform stop for a second on each end of its path
