The Enoch Pratt Library offers a lots of technology related resources, including Internet/WIFI, Remote Printing, Computer Training, Computer Reservations, etc! These resources are ideal for parents with children doing online school, clients in the process of applying to jobs, and clients looking into education resources.
Clients can reserve a computer for 45 minutes with printing access. Only certain library branch locations are currently open! Please check here for any updates!

What are download and stream resources?
Resources that allow you to download eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks, movies, and more for your PC, smartphone, tablet or other compatible devices. These are accessible in all Pratt Library locations or from home by using your Pratt library card.
How to use:
1) Make sure client has a library card. If not, see if you can acquire one for them.
2) Ask client what forms of media and entertainment, such as ebooks or movies, they are looking to download and/or stream
3) Look below for the resource that best meets their needs
4) Guide client through process of downloading app or going to website link for the given resource
5) Assist client in creating an account on the resource’s app/website so that they can then download and stream their desired media and entertainment
OverDrive
Download popular eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines for adults, teens, and children with OverDrive. To use OverDrive you will need to log in with your Pratt library card. Use this link to download Libby to use OverDrive optimized for your smartphone. OR download the OverDrive app from your device’s app store.
If using the OverDrive app instead, refer to this link for steps to obtain downloads as there are two different ways to acquire downloads depending on the display screen on your client’s phone when using the app.

BookFlix gives children and their caregivers a productive and meaningful way to spend screen time together by pairing an animated story with a nonfiction eBook for a truly unique interactive reading experience.

What is remote printing?
A contact-free way to access printing services at the Enoch Pratt Library.
*NOTE: Clients need to have a library card before accessing the printing services. If your client does NOT currently have a library card, visit this page to fill out the application form for free.
How to use:
To print from a web browser:
1. To print from the web, go to the Wireless Printing Service page
2. Your client will need to sign in with their library card number and PIN
3. The SmartALEC service shows the process to upload their files
To print using the SmartALEC mobile app:
1.For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) get SmartALEC from the App Store. For Android devices (Samsung Galaxy, Nexus, Pixel, etc.) get SmartALEC from the Google Play Store
2. Your client will need to install the SmartALEC app on their mobile device (first time use only)
3. Your client will need to sign in using their library card number and PIN (first time only)
4. Your client will need to open the file on the mobile device (different devices use different apps to open files)
5. Select "Print" in the application your client used to open the file
6. Select SmartALEC as the printer
How to receive the print job:
In person: To pick up your print job in person, call any Sidewalk Service location to schedule a pickup time. All print job pickups must be scheduled by appointment. View Sidewalk Service locations and hours.
By mail: If your client would prefer to receive their printing by mail, free of charge, call any Sidewalk Service location to make arrangements. View Sidewalk Service locations and hours.
Other important information:
Clients can use the remote printing services twice per day and receive up to 10 free black and white prints in each session. If your client needs to print more than 10 pages, they can add money to their library account.
