## 2. What Data We Collect and How We Collect It
We believe in data minimization. We only collect the absolute minimum data required to provide our core AI design service.
**A. User Text Prompts (Direct Collection)**
- **What we collect:** We collect the specific text descriptions, style selections, and keywords that you manually type into the App’s prompt text box when describing the headstone or monument you want to design.
- **How we collect it:** This data is collected directly from you *only* when you actively press the "Generate Design" button within the App.
**B. Photo Library Access (Add-Only Permission)**
- **What we collect:** We request "Add-Only" (Write-Only) permission to your device's photo gallery. We **do not** read, scan, upload, or modify any existing photos on your device.
- **How we collect it:** This permission is requested *only* if you tap the "Save" button to download a generated headstone image directly to your local device.
**Data We DO NOT Collect:**
We do not collect your name, email address, physical address, phone number, contacts, location data, device identifiers (IDFA), IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
## 3. How We Use Your Data
The data we collect is used strictly for the following purposes and nothing else:
- **Text Prompts:** Used exclusively to generate the custom headstone and monument image concepts you explicitly requested. We do not use your prompts for advertising, marketing, or training our own internal models.
- **Photo Library Access:** Used exclusively to save the final AI-generated image to your local device's photo gallery upon your explicit request.
## 4. Sharing Data with Third-Party AI Services
To generate high-quality AI images, your text prompts must be processed by industry-leading third-party Artificial Intelligence providers.
**Who we send the data to:**
1. **OpenAI, LLC:** We use OpenAI's API to structurally enhance and translate your brief text description into a highly detailed English prompt optimized for image generation.
2. **Replicate, Inc. (and Black Forest Labs):** We send the enhanced text prompt to Replicate's API (which utilizes FLUX image generation models) to visually render and generate the actual image of the headstone.
**What specific data is sent:**
Only the raw text descriptions of the headstone you typed into the app are sent to OpenAI and Replicate. **No personal identifiers, device IDs, or IP addresses are linked to these prompts or shared with these third parties.**
**Equal Protection Guarantee:**
We confirm that our third-party AI partners (OpenAI, LLC and Replicate, Inc.) provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy. They process the prompts securely, employ industry-standard encryption, and do not attempt to de-anonymize the data.
## 5. User Consent Mechanism
In strict compliance with App Store Review Guidelines, our App obtains your explicit permission **before** sending any data to the aforementioned third-party AI services.
The very first time you attempt to use the AI generator, the App displays a prominent "AI Data Notice" modal. This modal explicitly identifies who the data is sent to (OpenAI and Replicate) and what data will be sent. You must actively tap the "I Agree & Continue" button to grant permission before any data transmission occurs.
## 6. Data Retention and Security
Your text prompts are processed in real-time via API calls to our AI partners. We do not permanently store your prompts or the generated images on our own external servers. All generated images are downloaded directly to your device and stored locally. While we use administrative and technical security measures to protect your information during transmission, no security measures are 100% impenetrable.
## 7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13.
## 8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
