In Spring 2025, the Harlingen Area Educational Foundation (HAEF) proudly awarded over $67,000 in Innovation Grants to Harlingen CISD educators. These grants are designed to bring bold, creative ideas to life — ideas that enhance student learning and transform the classroom experience.
What Is an Innovation Grant?
An Innovation Grant is available to any HCISD employee who proposes a fresh, impactful idea that benefits students. Proposals are evaluated based on:
Originality of the idea
Cost-effectiveness
Potential for student impact
Whether it’s new technology, a unique program, or a hands-on learning experience, the goal is to go beyond traditional teaching methods and inspire deeper learning.
