Suggested Exercises: Taking derivatives is to calculus as manipulating fractions is to algebra. It is important that you become as comfortable with taking derivatives as you (hopefully) are with manipulating fractions---that is, you are able to take derivatives on-the-fly, quickly and accurately, without needing to reference a formula sheet. You do not want shakey computational skills do distract you from learning the big-picture ideas, or to fetter you from effectively applying tools from calculus to model/analyze problems.
To this end, my suggestion is to attempt as many of the computational questions as it takes for you to achieve the aforementioned mastery. Trying the odd-numbered problems from #1-28 in both sections is a good start. Many of these computations also require some attention on algebra (e.g., negative signs), so keep an eye out.
