- Hide all unused course navigation tools
- Keep the following five tools visible and in this order:
- Home
- Announcements
- Syllabus
- Modules
- Grades
- If using an external tool or publisher product, make this visible under Grades

- Place announcements at the top of the course home page.
- Course Settings > Course Details > More Options
- Select the number of announcements to display
- Recommend displaying only the most recent announcement or "1"
