We design and study human-centered robotic systems that are safe, usable, and experimentally grounded.

The Human-Centered Assistive Robotics Laboratory (HCAR Lab) focuses on robotic systems that operate in close collaboration with human users. Our research explores how control, shared autonomy, and haptic interaction can improve safety, usability, and performance in assistive manipulation and interaction tasks.

Our lab projects are rigorous, reproducible, and designed for undergraduate participation with an emphasis on hands-on experimentation, modeling, and data-driven evaluation.
