System Overview

MPS Distributing

    • Siemens
    • Picking up a puck and moving it to the next station
    • A suction arm suctions a puck. It then sits that puck to the next station.

MPS Testing

    • Siemens
    • Picking up a puck and moving it to the next station
    • The puck is lifted and placed on an air hockey like surface. It is then transported to the next station.

MPS Pick & Place

    • Siemens
    • A clock is put on the puck.
    • The puck moves and is then stopped by a small arm/lever. A robot arm then picks up a clock and places it on the top of the puck. Getting it ready to be secured at the next station.

MPS FluidicMuscle Press

    • Allen-Bradley
    • The clock is pressed down on the puck.
    • A metal arm grips the puck and moves it to a hydraulic press and the clock that is on the puck is pushed down so that it does not fall off the puck.

MPS Sorting

    • Allen-Bradley
    • It sorts the pucks.
    • It sorts pucks by if the puck is metallic, plastic, or it sorts it by color. This is the last stage.
