Full assets that having more size than HD assets will lead you to old assets and new assets which means there's will error at some point it timeout. DON'T DL FULL ASSETS you need to download the HD assets only.
(PC Only) I already selected the full assets! How to reset it?
Go to Regedit
by clicking [Windows Key + R] and type Regedit
or search regedit or Registry Editor on windows seach/cortana
copy and paste this to regedit head Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\ (see this)
search Honkai Impact registry folder inside them, and search for GENERAL_DATA_V2_ResourceDownloadType here the screenshoot if you afraid about searching and take other things
change the GENERAL_DATA_V2_ResourceDownloadType to 0 by double clicking it, this will reset your downloadtype and promt to selecting download HD assets after, or try 1 to automatically DL the HD assets
Run the game
select HD assets only if you prompted to download
if you're 0/0 again or stuck at 100%, remove the video folder and extract the video.7z from guide below to streaming assets folder again
Here's a lot of step that you need, but remember do this carefully
Close the client
by using [esc] and click exit/ok
using [alt] + [F4]
Download the resources HERE named video.7z check it with antivirus program if you doubt
Search your game folder, (usually on Program Files\Honkai Impact).
go to \Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets\
rename the video folder to video.bak or anything else, this is make a backup, see this first and see your folder clearly
extract the resources inside StreamingAssets folder, make sure there's popped up video folder
if you can't extract it (access denied) be sure your program have admin rights, (Run As Administrator and search the zip file) before unpacking it
here recommended unzipper program that you can download it for free, use the x32 if you can't run the x64 version
here if you afraid where's actually video.7z and to Streaming assets folder is, just drag n drop these
go to (PC) Full assets or HD assets only??? guide above this section if you choose Full assets before if not, just go next step
Run the game
if you still 0/0, delete the video folder and repack the video file once more and do things on (PC) Full assets or HD assets only??? guide
if you see it redownload again from 0% to 100%, make sure you unpack it from to the folder directly, retry and delete the video folder if client redownload from 0 to 100%
now the leftover video.bak you can delete the video.bak or copy all the inside of it to video folder, this is the old CGs that you need eventually. you still can run the game or redownload the CG in-game interfact
select "skip" if you prompted to overwrite/no
Download
video.7z as before, if you have it, you don't need to redownload
ASB_Patch.7z to skip the verify files/metablock
Directly go to honkai impact folder
usually on Program Files\Honkai Impact
or search by right-click > open file location on your honkai impact shorcut
Now you're inside Honkai Impact Folder, go to \Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets make sure you have or see the video folder right here
now rename
video to video.bak
if you have video.bak folder, erase the video folder
unpack all the downloaded video.7z to that folder (StreamingAssets)
if Access Denied, make sure you need to "Run as administrator" the Winrar or 7zarchivers before unpacking
now confirm you have video folder now beside video.bak folder
Unpack ASB_Patch.7z to inside ASB folder beside video folder, this will skipping integrity instead
click rewrite/replace if you prompted to replace
here video to step 5-6 with short videos in it if you don't understant, next step, do step 7
download these files to reset your resources download type to 0, or download it manually
after download in server you're having, just click run and ok then continue
now run the game
Select HD Assets only NOT THE FULL ASSETS if you prompted to select
If you're using HDD, or medium-end devices, it's still normal, Honkai need to verify the files inside games folder. just wait patiently
(PC) if you're having problem with clients, launcher broken, etc, use manual update, download here
(PC) follow these steps to MANUALLY INSTALL UPDATE
Download the file
Before Unpack, search your game folder, and delete Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets\Asb folder, here a ss where is it
Unpack it with 7zarchiver with admin rights (Run As Administrator > locate the package) into Games folder inside Honkai Impact Game Folder
Make sure you click OVERWRITE ALL when asked to overwrite the file or not
Download Config.ini and drag it inside Game folder and click overwrite
Now you can launch the game via launcer or clicking BH3/BH3rd.exe
if you have a problem to update, etc, try go up for other problems
(PC) How to Make Portable Game to Flash Drive
Convert your flash drive or make sure your drive is NTFS, see here how to convert fat32 to NTFS or instead format it to NTFS (you're will losing all your data if you format your flash drive, we recommended to use new flash drive instead)
Create a folder (Honkai 3 or etc u want) and extract the zip there
Run the game (BH3.exe/BH3rd.exe)
