Principal’s Message

Greetings HawkNation,

This is Mr. Butler, your proud principal with a weekly update!

Yes, we did it! Congratulations to all on completing a successful first week of Virtual learning. A lot of things went smoothly; there were some bumps in the road but we navigated through those together as a team. It was great seeing our students and staff engaged, learning, and connecting on zoom this week.

If you have any technology needs, you can access one of the following supports:

  1. Technology Help Desk at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 10:00 - 2:00, Monday - Friday. iPad concerns should be directed here.

  2. Submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ by clicking on Technology under the Explore Tab and then select Parent Tech Info.

  3. And always please feel free to call us here at Hawthorne and we will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

If you have any academic needs, you can access the following supports:

  1. Contact your child's teacher(s) for support. Teacher contact information is available on our Lakesides website under the Explore Tab, then select STAFF. You can also find the information on our Warren App.

  2. Contact Ms. Kauth our wonderful school counselor or Mr. Evans our dean or myself.

  3. Visit our district website's transition to virtual learning page for more information and resources.

If you have other needs beyond what is being provided, you can access of the following resources:

  1. Once again contact our school counselor or our administrative team.

  2. Share your request through our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us.

  3. Visit our Moorhead Community Resource Center. Monday / Wednesday / Friday - 8:00 - 4:00 or Tuesday / Thursday - 8:00 - 8:00. (317-532-3854)

Our next food distribution will be Friday, December 4th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Warren Central High School, Creston, Raymond Park, and Stonybrook Intermediate Middle Schools, and Moorhead Community Resource Center. Food is available for all children 18 or younger. Children do not need to be present. If you are picking up multiple meals, you are encouraged to bring a bag or box.

Updates:

  • If your child is in need of a winter coat, please email Mr. Evans @ mevans2@warren.k12.in.us and let him know the child name, grade, and coat size. We have a supply of coats that were donated to us that we want to make sure we get to our students in need. This will be available while supplies last!

  • Please ensure that students are attending ZOOM meeting and completing work each day. Attendance is taken through ZOOM meeting in the morning and in the afternoon.

  • If you students does not have all of their items, please reach out to your teacher. Your teacher can help make arrangements for you to come pick up those items.

Moorhead technology help desk is located at door 11 at the rear of the building near the playground. Please drive through the gate on the west side of the building and, after parking, enter door 11 for assistance. The Technology team will keep the same hours for the help desk: Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 10am to 2pm.
