**Students are not required to hire a photographer for their Senior Portrait. Students can have their portrait taken during school picture day for free, and we will insert it in the yearbook. We do ask that Seniors inform the advisor that they prefer to use their school photo day portrait in the yearbook, or we will not know to include it. Use this button for more information.
There are 3 things to remember when selecting and submitting your Senior Portrait to the Haverlinguist Yearbook:
Portraits need to be at least 300 dots per inch/dpi (approximately 2400 x 3000 pixels), preferably 8x10 inches (aspect ration 4:5), and in JPEG or PNG format to maintain an appropriate resolution for final printing. Camera phone settings (both iPhone and Android) can be changed to JPEG format, and the pictures can be just as good for Yearbook as a professional photographer's.
Portraits must follow school rules and be appropriate for the book. If we receive inappropriate pictures, we may not contact the student or family for a re-submission, thus leaving them out of the book/video. Please know that in some cases we may log the issue with the school office, in which they may consider disciplinary action.
Portraits are submitted by October 15th (see below for more info) in the form using our submission button above only (please do not email photos). If there is an issue photography scheduling, just let Mrs. Kim Ortiz know and we can work on a revised due date.
We ask that you upload the best quality image using our form in the Submission Button below. Please do not email your photo. Then, after a few days, check our list to be sure we received it.
