This Privacy Policy explains how Hatchly handles information when you use the app.
Overview
Hatchly stores your incubation data locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or process your personal information. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Information We Do Not Collect
Hatchly does not collect or store the following information on remote servers:
Personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, or postal address
Account credentials
Location data
Contacts, browsing history, or behavioral analytics tied to your identity
Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store the following data locally on your device:
Incubation batch records
Bird type, set date, expected hatch date, and notes
Candling results and observations
Temperature and humidity entries
Hatch outcomes and statistics
Photos attached to a batch
App preferences and settings
This data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it using iOS sharing features.
iCloud and Device Backups
If iCloud Backup is enabled, Apple may include the app’s local data in your encrypted device backup. This is controlled by Apple and your iCloud settings. We do not have access to these backups.
Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications for candling days, lockdown, and expected hatch dates. These notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Camera and Photo Library
If you attach photos to a batch entry, the app may request access to the camera or photo library. Photos remain on your device and are stored only as part of your local app data.
Analytics and Crash Reports
Hatchly does not use third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may share anonymized diagnostic data with us if you enabled this option in iOS Settings.
Children’s Privacy
Hatchly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Third-Party Services
Hatchly does not use advertising networks, social login providers, or remote databases.
Your Choices
You can delete records inside the app.
You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or using the reset option in Settings.
You can export your data if the app provides an export feature.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last updated date will show the most recent version. Material changes may be communicated through an in-app notice or release notes.
