MC RY has officially announced a major change in his music direction. After spending time in the drill scene, creating aggressive and high-energy tracks, he’s decided to move into a completely different sound. From this point forward, he’ll be making calm, emotionally-driven music inspired by artists like Tyler, the Creator.
This change comes from personal growth and a desire to create music that reflects who he is now. Instead of the fast pace and heavy beats of drill, he’s embracing more mellow production, smooth instrumentals, and thoughtful lyrics. It's the kind of music you listen to with your purple LED lights on, headphones in, chilling on a beanbag chair, maybe even reading a Warrior Cats book. It’s meant to help people slow down and feel something deeper.
MC RY isn’t abandoning his roots, he’s evolving. He’s taking what he’s learned from his time making drill music and applying that experience to a more relaxed and introspective style. Fans can expect vulnerability, creativity, and a fresh perspective in every track going forward.
He’s not chasing trends or trying to fit into a box. This is about creating music that’s real to him. Whether you’ve been with him since the start or just discovering his work, this new chapter is one he’s excited to share with you.
