Although this piece may appear to be like a Hartford Schools presentation to the board of education, cloudy and low on detail, the public has a right to know that things may be a little bent at Weaver High School. The storm is in its infancy but in the future, the truth will bring us light…and make for a hell of a blog post!
An unnamed source (yes, I hate that too but the with the factual existence of an environment of retaliation within HPS, we must respect it), who is a staff member at Weaver High School, recently regaled me with the tale of the probability of financial irregularities taking place at the school since 2022, and this source states that this information is coming from within administrative circles at Weaver, not from something written on the bathroom wall or from a disgruntled ex-HPS employee.
It was also revealed to me that the initial stages of an investigation into the probable wrongdoing have already commenced, and I was provided with evidence which is purported to be an initial inquiry to district offices into the matter by a local educational organization. I am awaiting confirmation that this evidence is indeed an inquiry into the matter at hand. When I get it, you will get it.
As the investigation unfolds and the truth behind the allegations are brought to light, one thing remains certain, these types of matters serve as a stark reminder of the fragility of trust and integrity, and the importance of vigilance in safeguarding against corruption in all its forms. We must be interested and ask questions until accountability and truth are achieved. We must be interested and ask questions until we (gulp) make Hartford Schools great again!
