PCMark 10 comes in three different flavours - the Basic edition is free to download, while the Advanced edition costs $30 (suitable for home consumers). The Professional edition is the one suitable for business use, and it comes with a host of features that make the benchmark easy to use in an automated manner. Pricing for the professional edition is not public.

After executing the above script (resident in the same folder as pcmark10-setup.exe), the following run script was then copied over to a local folder on the machine, and the system was restarted after dismounting all attached USB drives.

PCMark 10 is a robust and performance-optimized update over its PCMark 8 predecessor and provides more insight into office workload performance for businesses, OEMs and even professionals, gamers or casual consumers. The full list of third-party software used in this release includes popular names like FFmpeg v3.0.1, GIMP v2.8.14, and Firefox v53 Beta, while others include Chromium v55, AutoIt 3 v3.3.14.2, OpenCV v3.1.0, LibreOffice v5.2.4.2, ImageMagick v6.9.8.0, and POV-Ray v3.7.1 Beta 5. The latest version was announced for press on June 5th and will be made available to the public in both Basic and Advanced editions on June 22nd.

There are certain companies that any computer enthusiast knows because of product reliability and quality. Among these is Futuremark, which makes the popular 3DMark and PCMark benchmarks, the latter of which will soon be celebrating a wide release of its newest version, PCMark 8, later this month. Because of the number of hardware launches coming in early June though, Futuremark has decided to ship the Professional Edition early for press and professional use. The Basic and Advanced Editions will be released later, when they are ready.
