Welcome.
I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at Newcastle University. I currently convene the Causal Inference Lab, an Emerging Research Network.
My research is in political economy, focusing on how political and economic shocks shape public attitudes, political behaviour and individual wellbeing. I work across political behaviour, public opinion, migration, conflict and terrorism, using applied econometric and causal inference methods.
From June 2021 to November 2023, I was co-investigator on the ESRC funded project "The effect of terrorism on public attitudes and individual well-being in Great Britain". Project webpage here.
