Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Computational Scientist (Visiting Fellow) at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, USA. She earned her Ph.D. in Science (Bioinformatics) from CSIR-IMTECH/JNU, India, and specializes in computational oncology, immunology, machine learning, and multi-omics data integration. Her research focuses on predictive modeling, biomarker discovery, peptide therapeutics, immunotherapeutic design, and the development of medical informatics tools. Dr. Kaur has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and developed several widely used tools, including IL10Pred, Peplife, Pfeature, CancerLivER, CancerSPP, Glioma-BioDP, and the CPSM R package, etc. collectively cited over 1,300 times.
She previously served as a Curriculum Developer at OmicsLogic, mentoring students in NGS analysis and precision medicine. Dr. Kaur has received several prestigious awards, including the NIH Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow Award, the Young Investigator Bursary from the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), and the Young Researcher Award from InSc, India. She is an active member of professional societies such as the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), and the Institute of Scholars (InSc). Dr. Kaur also contributes to scientific leadership as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Public Health and Frontiers in Oncology, Guest Editor for International Journal of Molecular Sciences, and serves on the editorial board of BMC Bioinformatics. She is a reviewer for Scientific Reports, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Frontiers in Genetics, and Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.
