Harmony House hosts community dinners to foster fellowship. These are open-house style meals where all members of the community, friends and neighbors are welcome to attend. To plan a dinner a member of the community offers to "host" (determine the menu, purchase the ingredients* & invite the community). Those available join the host to cook the meal together while others join in later around the table. Community dinners are currently ad-hoc, but the goal is to make them regular events. If you'd like to volunteer to host a dinner, let us know!
*The host is reimbursed for the groceries through a "kitty" where each person partaking in the meal contributes what they can (if they can). Harmony House covers the shortfall/retains the surplus for the next meal so that anyone can host regardless of financial means.
