I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but how do I play my Xbox One world on my mobile without buying a realm? I'm logged into my Xbox account, but all I see are the separate Xbox and Mobile worlds on their respective platforms. Is it even possible?

Minecraft players (like you!) are using their amazing creative brains to concoct incredible new ways to play on mobile, Xbox, Windows PCs, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. From community-made skins and textures to hand-crafted worlds and epic adventures, you can find it all on Minecraft Marketplace.

How To Download Minecraft Worlds On Mobile

Hello, I am a parent of a Minecraft playing child, who is almost 6. I need some advice as how to save his worlds and transfer them to a new tablet. I have tried Googling it and it didn't work. He has cracked the screen and 3/4 of the screen works so I am going to use the warranty and get a new one.

The google article I found said to go to your File Manager, Apps, Mojang, Worlds and save the files there on a flash drive or Goggle Drive or somehow externally. I followed the directions but when I went into the file there was nothing there. During his game play we have SAVED his worlds and there were no errors stating it was not saving. I just have no idea where it is saving it to? I have also tried to go to Recent Files and nothing is there either.

As stated, I was not the one who downloaded the game initially and while trying to figure out how to save his worlds so I can transfer them to a new device I noticed that when you open Minecraft, my son is not "Logged In". There is a button off to the side that says Sign In. My son does not use this and when I tried it looked like it would start everything from scratch. I'm not sure if this is the issue, but theoretically it should be saved somewhere on the device. If I could go back in time I would have been the one to download the game and go through the initial processes of set up.

Although I have a copy of 'Bedrock' I don't really play it that often but I might have a reason for your problem.

Minecraft Bedrock has an option to allow saves to be stored either 'Externally' or 'Application'

(This option can be found under Settings (the small cog icon on main screen) > Profile)

IF the option was set to 'External' then you may be able to find the world saves using file manager by going to

> Internal Shared Memory > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds >

-------

IF Minecraft option was set to 'Application' (I'm sure someone will correct me here) then the world files are stored in a special minecraft folder on the tablet that only the game can access & you can't get to through the normal file explorer

There might be something that can help though

In my searching for a solution, I discovered that there is a program that could extract the world(s) called "Minecraft Pocket Edition World Exporter by Tikolu" (there may be others)

I tried this and all the worlds disappeared. It did give me an option to switch back to Application and restore the worlds. I tried making a copy of the world as well but it just seemed to make a copy on the Application side. There was not an option to change storage option.

If I understand right, you originally had the storage set to 'Application' & you can see the world(s), but then you changed it to 'External' & the world(s) disappeared - if so, this is normal.. you are basically telling minecraft to look in a different place/folder & since there wasn't anything in that folder, then no worlds show up.

This means it looks like you may have to go down the MCPE WorldExporter route

On the webpage there are video tutorials on how to go through the necessary steps on getting the worlds from the hidden folder onto your PC.

Gamers playing Minecraft on a mobile or VR device will get a free update; those who own Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will receive the new version free of charge, with most existing worlds and downloadable content moving over, too.

Any downloadable content, such as skin packs, bought on one of the operating systems will now be available on all of them. So, buying the Greek Mythology pack on mobile means you can also use it in the Xbox One and Windows 10 editions as well.

Restoring to Andriod can be done with the "My Files" application. Copy the folder from the backup location to the minecraftWorlds-folder. Or download and extract your backup-zipfile from Google Drive. Don't forget to delete the zipfile after extracting.

Backup and restore using an iOS device is the easyest. But has one disadvantage: iTunes copies all your worlds to a single folder with multiple subfolders. Restoring, from this folder, overwrites all existing worlds on the iOS device. But it's possible to alter or merge backup folders before restoring.

This is not just about switching between external and application memory, because switch does NOT mean copy worlds between location. Try switch to External, then create at least one world and this should be visible in MCPE Backup

My daughter is using Minecraft for Android. We are switching a broken phone to a new phone of the exact same model. I tried saving to external and application and have gone through the steps listed and when I go into the "minecraftWorlds" folder, it is empty, but it still shows all of the worlds on the app of her original phone.

I also tried moving the app to the external SD card before installing it into the new phone and it still did not help. I have to return the broken phone in a few days or else I face paying hundreds of dollars! Please help!

What do I do?

before making the world backup, make sure that you changed the file storage location to external, you can do this by clicking settings>profile>File Storage Location>external, otherwise the worlds won't appear in the minecraftWorlds folder, i hope it helped :D

edit: to use the worlds the same method apply, otherwise the world will won't appear in the world list

edit 2: don't change the File storage Location while in the world, this may corrupt the world, and makes it behave in a strange way (no animations, you can swim in lava, you don't drown, mobs stop moving, blocks don't have breaking animation) and if it don't get corrupted, all your progress after you changed it will be deleted.

and lastly, i had a problem while changing the file storage location, because if you started a world while the file storage location was in application, you can't change it back to external, i tried and my minecraft crashed :( now i can't backup my world

Hi, everyone. I created a world on my mac at school, then went home to work on the world at home on a windows laptop and my world was not listed. I signed in with the same account as I did in my class. Shouldn't the worlds be saved no matter what machine you sign into??? Thanks for the help.

Hi Antonio, the worlds are saved to the particular device you are using, and are not stored on your account as such. The current way around all of this is to 'export' your world somewhere accessible to all devices when finished on one device, and then import it on the second device to use it there.

Thanks for reaching out to us! Great question! So whichever worlds you have are stored in the game on that specific device. You can go into the game and look at your worlds and export them as an .mcworld file. This file you can save to whichever type of device, storage medium you would like to. Then you can transfer it to another device and import the world into that copy of Minecraft: Education Edition.

The two major versions of Minecraft are Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. Depending on the Minecraft edition you are using to create worlds on your computer, the steps to recover the deleted ones from backup differ.

If you have been cautious enough to make backups of your Minecraft worlds regularly, the road to recovery of deleted Minecraft worlds will be super easy. All you need to do is to access the folder where your backup copy world is saved and move the backup files into your new Minecraft saves folder. Simply follow the below steps on how to recover deleted minecraft worlds Java edition.

Minecraft worlds are automatically and locally stored on your Windows PC, so if you get your worlds deleted before you could save a copy of them, you can try to restore the deleted Minecraft Worlds from Previous Version.

Most users do not back up Minecraft worlds because they cannot foresee any situation where their crafted worlds can get deleted accidentally. If you do not have any backup of the deleted Minecraft worlds, don't worry. You can still recover them via professional data recovery software, because when you create any world on Minecraft, they are temporarily saved in your hard drive and can be recovered by third-party data recovery software in case of accidental deletion.

Here we recommend Tenorshare 4DDiG Windows Data Recovery as your best solution to get back deleted Minecraft worlds without backup. It is a powerful data recovery tool with which you can recover any deleted data from Windows PC as well as external hard drive. Here are the simple steps on how to get back deleted Minecraft worlds with 4DDiG.

From the Data Recovery tab, click on the local disk on your hard disk where the deleted Minecraft worlds were saved. It is more likely to be Local Disk(C:). After selecting the drive, click on the Start option.

You cannot take backup of specific Minecraft world on your mobile phone. You have to take the backup of your entire phone to take backup of Minecraft worlds. However, if you do not have any backup of the deleted Minecraft world, you cannot recover the deleted Minecraft worlds on mobile. Considering that you have backed up your phone before the deletion of Minecraft worlds, here are the steps to restore your phone backup and get back Minecraft worlds if available. 2351a5e196
