Overview
This project is to satisfy the basic needs of plant lovers, to order, track and get rare & premium plants. The app also gives the care instructions.
A study published in the Journal of Physiological Anthropology examined the physiological benefits of interacting with houseplants and found that plants can make you feel more comfortable, soothed, and natural.
Problem
People are looking for some unique species plants, but they’re not sure where to get them. Due to busy life style, some people forgets to water their plants regularly.
They are not sure if the plants are pet friendly or not. Users are unaware of how to take care of the plants.
Solution
Flora is an app for people who need some extra help taking care of their plants.
The app offers varieties of rare and premium plants. It gives tips, reminders and an organized plant care schedule. This offers plants identification by simply taking a picture of the plant.

User research
I decided to perform a user survey to get quantitative data. Through this survey i got some research findings from the target audience.
People wants to have plants in their houses, office, and living places.
They are not buying plants because they don’t know the proper caring way.
They prefer to get plants online due to their busy life.
They prefer to buy accessories along with the plants.
Insights
After conducting a User survey I found 5 potential people who are passionate about plants, gardening on the rooftop, etc. To understand their mindset and thoughts I did user interviews and got some key findings. Here are my key findings-
I want more premium varieties and collections to choose from.
I don’t know how to take care of the plants properly.
It’s very difficult to water the plants timely.
It would be nice if i can buy suitable accessories for my favourite plants.
Forget to take care because of busy life schedule.
Would like to know more about the plants I see everyday.

I developed User personas to represent the goals, motivations, and behaviours of the target audience for our product and service. It helps me to better understand the needs and preferences of the target users.

I transformed the insights gathered during research into point of view statements to better understand the problems from the user’s perspective. There statements were then transformed into actionable “ How might we” (HMW) questions to guide ideation-

The Problems:
The users have trouble in finding their preferred plants. It requires lot of time to find perfect plant for them.
The Solutions:
To solve this problem I've used smart search filter. So it is well organized and can give more personalized experience for the user.

The Problems:
Due to busy life style user don’t have time to take care of the plants. Plants get affected because of not watering them properly on time. Some users would like to make a schedule according to their free time for the plant care.
The Solutions:
To solve this problem I've added a feature where people can schedule the plant care routine according to their available time and their plant type.

The Problems:
The user would like to identify and know more about the plant easily without having to do a long google search.
The Solutions:
To solve this problem I've used scan and find feature. By this the user can just scan and take picture of the plant. This immediately gives them the name and information about the plant. User can proceed further if they want to buy the same plant.

The Problems:
Users don’t know the proper information about some plants and don’t know how to take care of them. This may cause plants to get affected easily.
The Solutions:
To solve this I’ve given the proper description & list out few must have information and tips to take care of the plants. I have also made easy checkout option.

I did user testing with 5 potential users after completing the visual design and got some feedbacks,
Users find it very easy to use.
Visitor would like to have access as a guest without creating account.
They liked the visual design.
Would like to have pot size mentioned on the product page.
