Hare Krishna Thing

This website is a dedicated response to the Hare Krishna Thing website: http://harekrishnathing.com/

First I would like to offer my humble obeisances to everyone, friends and enemies alike with the greetings: Hare Krishna.

Second I pray to the lotus feet of the founder acarya of ISKCON, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Srila Prabhupada for coming to the western countries which were and still are filled with impersonalism and voidism.

Third, I thank my dear Sir for taking the trouble and time to share information about ISKCON (which is known as the Krishna Cult) today and also about its dark past.

Ever heard of Sulocana Dasa? He was murdered by these GBC. He tried to speak out, read all about:

I would like to explain in plain text, not fancy pictures using technology about the grave problem of material existence. Have a look around the planet Earth. What do we see? Only suffering. We see people struggeling with birth, old age, disease and death. We see countries who are being labled third-world countries. We see countries which are labled as terrorist countries (which justifies invasion by the current strong force on the planet, NATO). We see up and coming countries which are posing a threat to the status qua maintained by the great western countries since world war 2 (Like resurgent Russia, China, India, Brazil, South-Africe to name a few). And ofcourse we see that in the western countries it self, altough there may be material comfort, a section of the population is not happy at all. Also those who think that they are happy, are happy temporarily. There is distress and happiness, even in the great western countries. These western countries now are democracies. That means that a majority of the populations "opinion" count. The rest, well, who cares? So a western democracy does not represent the entire population. If this is the case, how can people be happy at all in such a place? When you have a job, car, home, family (husband or wife with or without kids), you are occupied in your material function for sense gratification. You will not notice others who are not related to you via the body. You will only think of your self and those closely related to you and those who you need to use for sense gratification. What if you lose one or all of these things? You lose your job, or your home or your wife? Distress starts to come in because of attachment.

What do I want to say with above story? That life is in the end, short, you will get older and eventually you die. You will have some objects or persons to which you are attached but shouldn't we think about the last phase of life, called death? Aren't you wondering why this happens and what happens thereafter?

Some say, because we die, let's enjoy not caring for ethics and morality. Some say these are to be found in religion. Some say forget religion and enjoy as well. What is religion actually?

The founder acarya of ISKCON had the answer to all these questions. The goal of ISKCON was to help humanity at large to live life in such a way, in order to prepare humans to know why they die and what happens thereafter. This will enable humans to leave this body peacefully in bliss.

THAT'S IT!

No abusing, insulting, enjoying, staying in temporary happiness etc. No! Just be happy in your life wherever you are in whatever country you are. And when death comes (which is the only truth in life when you think realistically) you will die in a peaceful way. Is this scary? Then one need not worry. The founder acarya of ISKCON has written many books which explain in detail and in clear readable English what it is all about. Yes, it is alot of information, that's why you have the Brahmacari stage of life. Without knowing the philosophy, how can one start criticizing? That's a fools business, is it not? Do not take verses and quotes out of context. Post the entire chapter. Those who criticize have done this.

Unfortunately, even during the founder acarya's life time, not only friends and wellwishers came to the Hare Krishna Movement. The enemies also came. This is the story of miserable material life.

I agree, that ISKCON, it's GBC and there gullible members are guilty of some of the points made on the website http://harekrishnathing.com/

All I can say it, please read about what happened here

Step by step, please click on the links and try to understand what His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Srila Prabhupada wanted to do. Did he want to insult black-people? Did he want to show women as inferior and insult them? Did he promote child-abuse?

Please understand what kind of world we live in. What kind of people there are:

What I see is that most ex-ISKCON members after leaving criticize not just the GBC (which is very good!) but also the Vaisnava philosophy. And even His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Srila Prabhupada. This is very unfortunate. It makes me wonder why this person joined ISKCON in the first place. Why do the persons criticizing ISKCON today also denounce the Vaisnnava philosophy? This is a very important question to ask, especially after reading the post in above links. Also do all the people of GBC and those who believe in them deviate? That is kind of a generalisation. Again, studying Srila Prabhupada's unmodified books will clear doubts and it is easily seen who is deviating and who is genuine. You seem not to have studied them or you studied them without submission, without praying for understanding, most probably with a criticizing mind. That's why you come up with these blogs which are very disturbing. It is good not to associate with people like you.

For more about the Vaisnava (Vedic) philosophy, please click here

This is becoming a long story, I do not want to bore you. But without knowing the philosophy of the Vaisnava's and seriously practicing it:

  • No meat, fish, egg, onion and garlic eating
  • No illicit sex (no sex outside of marriage and when one has sex, it is between husband and wife for the sole purpose of inviting a pious soul to take birth on this planet)
  • No intoxication (tea, coffee, sigarets, drugs)
  • No gambling

Above four are the basics of Krishna Consiousness. Association with those who also practice above rules is essential to make progress. After reading above links, do you think in ISKCON, that the people are practicing? Did those who criticize the founder acarya and Vaisnava philosophy practice these 4 rules?

The following is necessary as well since humans must perform activity:

  • Chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra, at least 16 rounds of 108 times each day of their lifes during Brahma-Muhurta
  • Daily reading and studiying the Bhakti Sastri books of Srila Prabhupada (Bhagavad Gita As It Is, Isopanisad, Nectar of Devotion and Nectar of Instruction). A devotee must be familiar with the philosophy and must also be able to explain these
  • Daily Srimad Bhagavatam class
  • Listening to Srila Prabhupada's lectures he gave in the 60s and 70s
  • Talking and hearing only about Krishna
  • Association with like minded people who also practice above points
  • Taking care of lifes necessaties (via work in Cow Protecting Farm Communities) or work in cities for companies who have respect for their employees

I am wondering does ISKCON today follow above mentioned points? Did those wo criticize when they were members of ISKCON follow above points?

Check the submenu links with the youtube video's. They contain some lectures. These will clear up more doubts and especially what Krishna Consiousness is all about. It is about the soul, not the body. All of us are thinking, willing, feeling and acting on bodily platform of life (the core basics of the way of life on earth). Without following the above stated Krishna Consiousness rules and regulations, one is not considered a human, but an animal.

I understand the anger of abuse, misuse, insult and all terrible things which happened but please try to understand who the 4 types of men are who do these things. What atheists are and what they will do to keep humans away from Krishna Consiousness.

Finally I would like to point to this website

If I have offended you, please forgive me. I am a person of hindu background. My ancestors came from India, my parents from the Guyana's. I myself am born in Western-Europe. I have firsthand experience of living a life of sense gratification. So I was very happy but this happiness was temporary and eventually I became very unhappy. Naturally I sought out religion (with my hindu background, I am familiar with the history of mankind, in satya-yuga you had Prahlada Maharaja, in treta-yuga you had Sri Rama and in dvapara-yuga the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself came and explained the Supreme Sruti in the Supreme Smriti). Thanks to ISKCON I understood Bhagavad Gita As It Is which is knowledge acquired via the descending process, not mundane interpertations like by Hindu's or Indologists (western scientists) which use the ascending process to acquire knowledge.

After going to all kinds of Hindu-sects (Sai Baba, Arya Samaj, Brahmo Samaj, Sanathan Dharma Castism sects), Muslims, Christians, Atheists I came accross the Hare Krishna's. I got experience right from the start with bogus ISKCON GBC. After investigating I found out that the founder acarya got poisoned. The Movement got hijacked and all these terrible things happened what this dear Sir is telling us in the Hare Krishna Thing website: http://harekrishnathing.com/

I hope the message is clear. Read only the unmodified books of Srila Prabhupada, Listen only to him, his lectures. Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!

JAYA PRABHUPADA!

HARE KRISHNA!
