I am having some serious performance issues after opening ArcGIS Earth. The initial screen will load completely black, and then the program will freeze for up to 5 minutes. Then a view of the earth will appear and freeze again with a view of the African continent. After another few minutes the earth view will rotate to the Atlantic Ocean.
On December 20, 2015, mullerh from poi-factory.com came up with an elegant solution to fix the issue between BaseCamp/MapSource and Google Earth Pro. Quickly, many users from different forums started posting the same solution without giving credit to mullerh or cite the source of given solution.
It's almost June 2021 and I can confirm that the same solution applies (if necessary).

installed windows 10 today, wasnt aware u had found a work around for win 8.1, anyways, i tried to follow your directions, im not very computer smart. I got the game to load a couple times, even though it was only 3/4 of my screen size. i couldnt get end config to work, was trying to do the performance test, kept getting an error. I deleted everything and started over, now, when i try to login, as soon as i hit enter, i get dumped right back to desktop. I will try all this again on the weekend, will try to have other laptop running, maybe i will get lucky and u will be on to assist me with the new os. You have been very helpful to me in the past.
With assistance from your handy guide, (thank you kindly for documenting it), I have the game client successfully running on windows 10. I am having a problem with the handoff between servers such as when docking. The client just hangs at the loading screen. Has anyone else had this problem?
Ran the vidtest and windows 10 asked if I wanted to run in in compatibility mode and that worked. I ran the launcher and it still was in windowed mode. So ran the e&bconfig and windows 10 asked me to run it under compatibility mode windows xp service pak 3 and it ran where I was able to click the box and run the game. Hope this helps
i just installed a fresh game onto my new windows 10 coputer and dit not have to change any thing of the setting. just down load the ENB game and the net-7 unified installer.
instal the game then run the net-7 unified installer, update the net-7 launcher by running it and your done.
I'm having issues where I can't swap windows and when I do the program will not register the mouse clicks on the window I switched to keyboard works fine though. Second I ran the net7 config utility and it doesn't change the resolution and I have to run the EnBconfig instead. I'm using Windows 10 as well. Please any help would be appreciative.
Dunno if this has been said but when the two clients are on top of each other on screen 2 (follow Efi's instructions on how to set up screens) simply place cursor over the tab on the task bar and both client windows will appear above the task bar side by side. Move cursor over one of them of your choice and right click , the option to move(drag that client window over to screen 1. I believe this might only work if you have the clients set to window mode but thats how i run the game so i dont know about non-window mode).Use the TOOLS tab on launcher to set res and window up and dont forget to allow the TOOLS setup to to run its Performance Test (click OK when its done) also dont forget to do EVERYTHING in ADMIN mode. And one other thing is make sure ALL 4 box's on left of launcher are ticked ........ non on the left . Good luck
Oh, I forgot .... maybe the game doesn't start because it is protected by an unsupported copy protection, so you may have to download and use a game crack even if you own and used your own purcheased pair of CD-roms. If this is the problem, you should get the Fatal Error 7 also without DxWnd running. Cracks are easily found by googling "dark earth crack".
I want to play empire earth on my netbook, with win7 pro 32bit, but it crashes.When I start Empire Earth, the videos are played as usual and when the game starts, it crashes. I've tried different compatibility modes and Admin permissions, but nothing worked. Also I installed the latest patches and the Add On (Age of Konquest), but it didn't work. I have been using GE 7.3.2 (32-bit) for both Connect and V8i for several years. Every time our IT staff updates GE to the latest GE 64-bit version I have to uninstall it and reinstall GE 7.3.2 (32-bit) to restore MicroStation's functionality.
You mentioned that this happened about the same time that you installed Bitdefender and VPN. Does it happen when VPN is enabled, or even if VPN is off? Otherwise, you could try bypassing Google earth in the Split tunneling option as it now includes the ability to bypass apps as well.
Enable the Firewall, in Rules see if you have Google Earth. If so, delete it. Then go into firewall settings and select Alert Mode. Restart your PC and let it get up and running. Then tick your Google earth desktop short-cut to start it, and see if you get a pop-up from BD to allow it through the firewall.

There is also PPA for Google Earth, but for some reason there is no google-earth-stable, but google-earth-ec package. The ec is Enterprise Client. The difference is that it will ask (once) to which server to login, defaulting to public google server. And the icon is ugly yellow.
bsod is very unlikely to be caused by the game. bsod is more often than not caused by defective hardware or driver bugs. Never applications. Come to think of it, an application can only cause bsod, if it hits a bug in the windows kernel.
Can someone please help,I've recently just started playing second earth and logged back into my game today but noticed it didn't save my progress,it's not giving me the option to save it either anyone having this problem and if so how do I save my progress as don't want to be having to start from the beginning every time I start playing the game thanks
I was doing a google search for the google earth plugin and took notice of acomment that the Google Earth plugin wasn't working in Firefox. I just checked it this very moment and it is working absolutely fine in Firefox . July 11,2013
I am running win 7 64 bit 64 bit Nightly.Have tried all of the above suggestion to no availI have nil Google add ons in my manager.Still get the response to download Google earth plugin Chrome and IE 10 both 32 bit are working fine.Appreciate any further assistance
Hi spada01, because plugins are binary components, different executable files may be needed for 32-bit and 64-bit applications. If you are comfortable using regedit, you could check the following keys to see whether the Google Earth installer lists both a 32-bit AND a 64-bit plugin for Firefox to discover:
Hi spada01, the longer "Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins" list is used by 32-bit Firefox on 64-bit Windows, while the shorter list is used by 64-bit Firefox. That probably explains the discrepancy between your 64-bit Nightly and the other builds.
One of the limitations on 64-bit browsers is the requirement for 64-bit builds of plugins (because they are binary/executable components). So, unless something has changed since I looked into this last, you can't use 32-bit plugins with 64-bit browsers. ff782bc1db
