Happy Mountain Academy is a faith-centered homeschool in Helena, Montana, dedicated to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and character in every child. We believe education is most meaningful when it connects learning with life, blending academics, hands-on projects, and real-world experiences.
Our family works together to create an environment where our children can explore their God-given talents through art, science, nature studies, and community service. Beyond the classroom, we encourage entrepreneurial thinking, practical life skills, and the joy of discovery through special programs and events that unite learning with purpose.
Together, we’re raising confident, compassionate learners who are rooted in faith, driven by curiosity, and inspired to make a difference in their world.

How We Got Our Name
When it came time to name our homeschool, we wanted it to be something meaningful, something that reflected not just where we live, but who we are as a family. Each of the kids submitted their own ideas and shared how homeschooling made them feel. Their words were full of joy, peace, and adventure, reminders of the freedom and wonder we experience learning together in the mountains of Montana. We took pieces of everyone’s suggestions and blended them into one name that felt like home: Happy Mountain Academy.

Our logo was designed by Mom, using her background in graphic design to capture our vision. The mountains symbolize our foundation of faith and growth, while the birds soaring above represent our children; learning, exploring, and rising to new heights with every season.
