Welcome to the Happiness Lab at the University of Arizona!
We study how people pursue happiness, cultivate meaning, and connect with others. Our research explores the emotional, cultural, and interpersonal dimensions of well-being at home, at work, and in daily life.
About the Lab
What can people do to improve their happiness and well-being? Which strategies and mindsets regarding improving happiness work and which do not? What role does culture play in people’s happiness? How do happy people interact with the places and spaces that they occupy?
We are a research laboratory that studies happiness and well-being based in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona (previously based at Elon University and University of Washington), and these are just some of the questions that we study. We are investigating how people can improve their happiness and what personality and cultural aspects affect people’s well-being levels.
