If you want the absolute lowest latency for real-time audio monitoring and a rotatable plug that survives tight airplane armrests, choose Happfeel 5.4; if you need broader connectivity options including RCA inputs and slightly longer battery endurance for all-day car or home listening, choose SOARUN 5.4.
• Happfeel 5.4: Its standout strength is the unique 180° rotatable dual-head design and ultra-low latency under 40ms, making it ideal for gamers and those in cramped travel spaces; its trade-off is a shorter 15-hour battery life when transmitting compared to competitors.
• SOARUN 5.4: It wins on versatility with RCA support and a robust 24-hour RX battery life, perfect for long road trips or home theater setups; however, it lacks the flexible swivel mechanism of the Happfeel and relies on touch controls rather than push buttons.
• The Pick: Choose Happfeel for precision gaming and tight-space travel, but grab SOARUN if you need legacy RCA connections and extended playtime without recharging.
This adapter is engineered for the user who prioritizes physical flexibility and audio synchronization above all else. The most defining feature here is the 180° rotatable 3.5mm aux plug combined with a built-in USB-C cable. If you have ever tried to plug an audio dongle into a car stereo or an airplane seatback where space is incredibly limited, you know the frustration of a bulky device hitting the console. Happfeel solves this by allowing the plug to swivel, reducing cable strain and fitting into tight corners where rigid adapters fail. This makes it the best active noise cancelling headset companion for travelers who refuse to deal with tangled wires or broken ports during long-haul flights.
For music production or any scenario requiring split-second audio timing, the Happfeel 5.4 offers a distinct advantage. Powered by a Qualcomm chip, it delivers an ultra-low latency of under 40ms. In the world of wireless audio, even a few milliseconds of delay can ruin the experience for someone playing fast-paced games or monitoring live instruments. While many budget adapters struggle with lag, this unit keeps audio perfectly synced with video screens. If you are looking for a wireless headset for music production that doesn't introduce a distracting delay between your input and output, this specific low-latency spec is the deciding factor.
However, you should skip this model if your primary concern is maximum battery duration in transmit mode. When used as a transmitter to stream audio from a TV or phone to headphones, the Happfeel offers 15 hours of continuous use. While sufficient for most movies, it falls short of the 20-to-24-hour range found in some competing units. Additionally, while it supports hands-free calls via a built-in mic, the focus is clearly on high-fidelity audio delivery rather than heavy-duty voice communication features. If you need a rugged, long-lasting solution for multi-day camping trips where charging isn't an option, the shorter TX battery life might be a constraint.

The SOARUN 5.4 is designed for the user who values raw compatibility and endurance over mechanical flexibility. Its most significant asset is the inclusion of RCA inputs alongside the standard 3.5mm AUX. Many older televisions, home theater systems, and car stereos still rely on the red-and-white RCA connectors rather than a single 3.5mm jack. While other adapters force you to buy separate cables, SOARUN includes an RCA cable in the kit right out of the box. This makes it a seamless upgrade for legacy equipment without needing extra purchases. If you are building a setup around an older TV or a vintage car stereo, this universal connection capability is essential.
Battery performance is another area where this model shines, particularly for long-duration listening sessions. With a 300mAh lithium-polymer battery, it promises up to 24 hours of playback in receiver mode and 20 hours in transmitter mode. For a frequent traveler or someone who uses their headphones throughout a full workday and commute, the ability to go two days without plugging into a charger is a massive convenience. The fast-charging feature ensures a full charge in just two hours, minimizing downtime. This longevity makes it an excellent choice for the best headband headphones for music production setups that run for extended periods, ensuring you never miss a beat due to a dying adapter.
On the flip side, the SOARUN 5.4 lacks the mechanical innovation of the rotatable plug found in the Happfeel. Its form factor is fixed, which means you must carefully manage cable routing to avoid strain or awkward angles. Furthermore, it utilizes touch controls rather than physical push buttons. While touch interfaces are modern, they can sometimes be less reliable in cold weather or when wearing thick gloves compared to tactile buttons. It also does not explicitly advertise the sub-40ms latency figures that the Qualcomm-powered Happfeel does, suggesting it may be better suited for casual movie watching than critical audio production work where every millisecond counts.
• Best for Low Latency & Gaming → Happfeel 5.4, thanks to its confirmed under-40ms latency via Qualcomm chip technology.
• Best for Legacy Audio Systems → SOARUN 5.4, because it natively supports RCA inputs for older TVs and stereos.
• Best for Tight Spaces → Happfeel 5.4, due to its 180° rotatable 3.5mm plug that prevents cable strain in cars and planes.
• Best Battery Life (Transmit Mode) → SOARUN 5.4, offering 20 hours versus the Happfeel's 15 hours.
• Best Battery Life (Receive Mode) → SOARUN 5.4, providing 24 hours compared to the Happfeel's 26 hours (note: Happfeel has a slight edge in RX, but SOARUN is superior in TX).
• Best for Car Stereo Integration → SOARUN 5.4, given its dedicated RCA support and long-range stability for vehicle environments.
• Best for Dual Airplane Seat Setup → Happfeel 5.4, as its rotatable design fits easily into narrow airplane armrest slots.
• Best Value for Versatility → SOARUN 5.4, if you need both 3.5mm and RCA connectivity in one package.
After weighing the specifications and design philosophies, I would personally choose the Happfeel 5.4 for my own setup. The reason is simple: the combination of the rotatable plug and the sub-40ms latency addresses the two biggest pain points in wireless audio—physical frustration and audio lag. While the SOARUN offers impressive battery life and RCA support, the Happfeel's engineering feels more tailored to the dynamic needs of a modern user who travels frequently and demands precise sound synchronization. For music production specifically, where timing is everything, the Happfeel's low-latency guarantee gives me the confidence I need to trust the signal path. However, if your priority is simply plugging into an old car stereo and going for days without charging, the SOARUN remains a strong contender.
The Happfeel 5.4 specifies an ultra-low latency of under 40ms powered by a Qualcomm chip, whereas the SOARUN advertises aptX-LL technology but does not provide a specific millisecond figure. For strict timing requirements, the Happfeel data sheet offers more concrete assurance.
Yes, the SOARUN 5.4 includes an RCA cable in its kit, allowing direct connection to older systems. The Happfeel 5.4 focuses on 3.5mm and USB-C inputs and does not list RCA support in its specifications.
In transmitter mode (sending audio to headphones), the SOARUN lasts 20 hours while the Happfeel lasts 15 hours. In receiver mode (receiving audio from a phone), the Happfeel offers 26 hours compared to the SOARUN's 24 hours.
Both models support Dual Link/TX modes, allowing you to pair two sets of AirPods or Bluetooth headphones simultaneously for sharing audio with a partner on a flight or in the living room.
