About me

I'm currently a PhD student at Department of Linguistics, New York University (NYU). My research interest lies primarily in natural language semantics. Before coming to NYU, I got my Masters degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and then studied as a visiting student at Department of Linguistics at Rutgers in 2014-2015.

I'm especially interested in questions, focus, disjunction and metalinguistic phenomena. The interactions of these phenomena bring about "fancy" semantic representations that not only call for an enriched theory of compositional semantics but also shed light on our understanding of other linguistic facts. I've also worked on sentence final particles, measurement constructions and ellipsis.

Here is a recent photo of me in Beijing. My hometown is Ankang, a lovely small town in south Shaanxi.
