Hi, I'm Haojun — most people call me Dylan. I am Hokkien.
I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), expected to graduate in 2026, and I'll be joining Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) as an Assistant Professor.
My research is all about understanding people — particularly why and how consumers give, and how our senses shape the choices we make. I use a mix of methods to get at these questions: lab and field experiments, eye-tracking, mouse-tracking, and real-world platform A/B tests. I've presented at leading conferences, including ACR, SCP, and EMAC. Along the way, I've had the privilege of being a visiting scholar at UBC's Sauder School of Business and a Doctoral Fellow at the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium in Manchester.
I'm genuinely excited about collaboration. If you're curious about consumer behavior and want to work on something we're both passionate about, I'd love to hear from you!
