About Us
The Hanscom School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to enriching the educational experience for the 450 students at Hanscom Primary and Hanscom Middle schools. We proudly serve a unique community of military-connected and local families, working to strengthen the bond between home, school, and community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Hanscom School PTO is to foster a strong partnership between families, educators, and the school community to support the academic, social, and emotional success of every student. We are especially committed to honoring the unique experiences of military-connected families by promoting inclusivity, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
Through volunteerism, advocacy, and collaboration, we aim to enhance the educational environment, create meaningful experiences, and strengthen ties between home and school. We also work to connect our military families with the surrounding communities—supporting local small businesses and showcasing the best of our region through school-wide programs and events.

Celebration & Fundraising Event!
The Hanscom School PTO is thrilled to celebrate the Month of the Military Child and host our Fundraising Basket & Auction on April 15, 2026! Your support helps us create a fun, meaningful experience for students and staff while funding upcoming PTO programs and activities throughout the year.
Whether you’re a local business, organization, or individual, we’d love to partner with you. All sponsors and donors will be recognized at the event and on promotional materials.
Donations are tax-deductible, and a receipt will be provided.
Your contribution helps fund:
Festive Purple Up! decorations throughout the school and outside
Engaging activities for students and families
Promotional materials like flyers, banners, and event signage
Purple Up! T-shirts for every student and staff member
Exciting baskets and items for our auction to support PTO programs

For Month of the Military Child
This year, the Hanscom School PTO is proud to launch a special initiative for the Month of the Military Child! Our goal is for every student and staff member to receive a free Purple Up! T-shirt to wear proudly every Wednesday during the month of April in honor of our military-connected students.
To make this happen, we are working to raise $3,500 and we need your help! Your contribution directly helps outfit our school community in purple to show unity, strength, and appreciation. Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

This special event is hosted by the Hanscom School Staff, and the PTO is excited to support and enhance the evening through our Annual Fundraising efforts. Proceeds from this event help fund upcoming PTO programs and activities that benefit Hanscom students and staff throughout the year.
Join us for the MOMC Family Dinner on April 15, 2026, from 5:00–7:30 PM as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child and honor our military-connected students and their families.
This community-wide event will welcome approximately 500 staff, students, and family members for an evening filled with food, fun, and connection. MOMC is a meaningful opportunity for our school community to come together, show appreciation, and recognize the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of the incredible children who serve alongside their families. We look forward to celebrating with you!

The Hanscom PTO is excited to celebrate our amazing educators during Teachers in Bloom
May Appreciation Week!
Throughout the week, we will be hosting Morning Delights in the staff lounge to show our gratitude and help our teachers start each day feeling appreciated and supported. We invite families to participate by contributing breakfast treats, refreshments, or thoughtful non-food items.
