The Hanscom School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to enriching the educational experience for the 450 students at Hanscom Primary and Hanscom Middle schools. We proudly serve a unique community of military-connected and local families, working to strengthen the bond between home, school, and community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Hanscom School PTO is to foster a strong partnership between families, educators, and the school community to support the academic, social, and emotional success of every student. We are especially committed to honoring the unique experiences of military-connected families by promoting inclusivity, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
Through volunteerism, advocacy, and collaboration, we aim to enhance the educational environment, create meaningful experiences, and strengthen ties between home and school. We also work to connect our military families with the surrounding communities—supporting local small businesses and showcasing the best of our region through school-wide programs and events.
We need YOU!
Our PTO is gearing up for the 2026–2027 school year, and we’re looking for members of our school community to get involved! Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for everyone.

Celebration & Fundraising Event!
The Hanscom School PTO is excited to begin preparations for our Purple Up! Month of the Military Child fundraising efforts for April 2027!
Throughout the month of April, we come together as a school community to celebrate and honor our military-connected students. This special initiative also helps support our Fundraising Basket & Silent Auction on April 15, 2027, with proceeds benefiting PTO programs, activities, and events all year long.
We are currently seeking support from local businesses, organizations, and community members who would like to contribute during the month of April. Donations of any kind—auction items, sponsorships, or raffle contributions—help make this celebration meaningful and successful for our students and staff.
All sponsors and donors will be recognized during our Purple Up! celebration and in event materials. Donations are tax-deductible, and receipts will be provided.
This school year, the Hanscom School PTO is proud to launch a special initiative for the Month of the Military Child in April 2027!
Our goal is for every student and staff member to receive a free Purple Up! T-shirt to wear proudly every Wednesday throughout the month of April in honor of our military-connected students.
To make this happen, we are working to raise $4,000, and we need your help! Your contribution directly supports providing Purple Up! shirts for our entire school community, helping us show unity, appreciation, and support for our military-connected families.
Every donation—big or small—makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping us celebrate and uplift our students! 💜
