Hannah South is an interdisciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas. She began her college education at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, New York, where she studied printmaking and sculpture. She then returned to Austin to finish her BFA at Texas State University, which she is set to complete in 2026. South's work explores themes of childhood, memory, and how it's carried over time.
I explore how childhood experiences shape who we become and how memory shifts over time. Through continual experimentation, my work engages themes of intimacy in relation to the discovery of the self, through memory and relationships.
