Hangul Habit is a Korean vocabulary learning app. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what it does not collect.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Everything you learn stays on your device. Your vocabulary progress, review schedule, streak, chosen topics, daily goal, and Hangul lesson progress are stored locally and are never uploaded. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Hangul Habit has no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no way for us to identify you by name, email, or phone number.
WHAT IS COLLECTED
Usage analytics. The app sends anonymous product events (that a session started or finished, that onboarding completed, that the upgrade screen was viewed, and whether a purchase succeeded) to PostHog, which processes them on our behalf. Each event carries a random install identifier generated on your device. It is not derived from your device's advertising ID, hardware ID, or any account, and it cannot be linked back to you. We use this only to see whether the app is actually helping people learn, and to decide what to build next.
Purchases. If you buy Hangul Habit Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive the subscription status tied to the same random install identifier. We never receive your payment details: no card number, no billing address. Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
Notifications. If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No notification is sent from a server, and nothing about your reminder leaves the device.
WHAT IS NEVER COLLECTED
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone audio, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no third-party advertising and no cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share personal data.
CHILDREN
Hangul Habit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
YOUR CHOICES
You can stop all analytics collection by uninstalling the app. Because events carry only a random install identifier and no account exists, we cannot look up or delete an individual person's events on request; there is no identity to look them up by. To request deletion of events associated with a specific install identifier, contact us with that identifier. It is shown at the bottom of the Progress screen.
PROCESSORS WE USE
PostHog: product analytics. Anonymous events, random install identifier.
RevenueCat: subscription management. Subscription status, random install identifier.
Apple / Google: payment processing. Handled entirely by the store; we receive no payment details.
CHANGES
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
