How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a smart charging case you can actually control your music from, choose Handzee Earbuds; if you need long battery life and a lightweight, no-fuss fit for calls and workouts, choose zakotu Earbuds 2026.
• Handzee Earbuds — biggest strength: a touchscreen charging case with 13 functional interfaces, so you can run the equalizer, volume, ambient mode, spatial audio and even a "find earbuds" tool from the case itself.
• Handzee Earbuds — biggest trade-off: that screen is the whole point of the product, so if you just want plain earbuds you're paying attention (and complexity) for a feature you won't use.
• zakotu Earbuds 2026 — biggest strength: a 13mm double-layer diaphragm driver with four microphones and ENC, aimed squarely at bass and clear calls.
• zakotu Earbuds 2026 — biggest trade-off: no active noise cancellation and no screen, so it's a simpler, more traditional earbud.
• Who Handzee is for: tinkerers and commuters who want control on their wrist-free case and real ANC.
• Who zakotu is for: people who want light earbuds, a tiny case and strong battery for the money.
Handzee's pitch is unusual: the case itself is a screen. That's not a gimmick on paper — it lists 13 functional interfaces, including equalizer, ambient mode, spatial audio, volume, brightness, find earbuds, camera shutter, wallpaper, stopwatch, touch-to-wake, light and language. In practice, that means you can leave your phone in your pocket on a run and still change the sound. I like that for the gym and for cycling, where pulling out a phone is annoying.
The audio side is serious too. You get active noise cancellation plus environmental noise cancellation and passive isolation, all adjustable from the screen in real time. Bluetooth 5.4 handles pairing and stability, the range is listed at 15 meters, and it works with iOS, Android and Windows. The IPX7 rating means sweat and rain aren't a concern. Each earbud weighs just 0.12 ounces, and the in-ear shape is built for long wear.
zakotu Earbuds 2026: Who It's For
The zakotu Earbuds 2026 is the classic "do the basics very well" earbud. The spec sheet leads with battery: up to 8 hours on a single charge, and the case adds five more charges for roughly 45 hours total. A 10-minute top-up reportedly gives you 2 hours of playback, and a full charge takes about 1.5 hours via USB-C with over-voltage protection. There's a separate LED display for each earbud and the case, so you always know what's left.
Sound leans bass-forward. It uses 13mm double-layer diaphragm drivers with a polymer diaphragm, which the brand says gives strong low end while keeping mids and highs natural. For calls, there are four high-definition microphones with ENC, which is the right tool for cutting background noise on a busy street. Bluetooth 5.4 covers HID, HFP, A2DP and AVRCP, with 15-meter range and a low 55ms latency — useful if you game or watch video. You can also use either earbud alone in mono mode.
Fit is where it wins for many people. Each earbud weighs about 3 grams, and it ships with three sizes of silicone tips for a proper seal. IP7 nano-coating protects the internals from sweat and light rain. Touch controls cover play/pause, track skipping, volume, calls and voice assistant. It's compatible with iOS 9.0 and Android 5.0 and up.
Who should skip it? If you need active noise cancellation for flights or a loud office, this isn't that product — it relies on ENC for calls and the physical seal for isolation. And if you want on-case controls or an equalizer you can tweak without your phone, Handzee is the better fit.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for battery life → zakotu Earbuds 2026. About 8 hours per charge and roughly 45 hours total with the case, plus a fast 10-minute top-up.
• Best for noise cancellation → Handzee Earbuds. Active, environmental and passive noise control, adjustable in real time.
• Best for case controls → Handzee Earbuds. The touchscreen case handles EQ, volume, spatial audio, find-my-earbuds and more without your phone.
• Best for bass and calls → zakotu Earbuds 2026. 13mm double-layer drivers and four mics with ENC.
• Best for gaming and video → zakotu Earbuds 2026. 55ms latency is explicitly listed; that matters for lip-sync.
• Best for water resistance → it's close. Handzee is IPX7; zakotu is IP7. Both handle sweat and rain, so pick on the other features.
• Best for a simpler setup → zakotu Earbuds 2026. Auto-reconnect on opening the case and no screen to learn.
In my opinion, the zakotu Earbuds 2026 is the safer buy for most people. The battery math, the 3-gram fit and the three tip sizes are things you'll appreciate every single day, and the 13mm drivers and four mics cover the two jobs most earbuds actually do: music and calls. I'd pick Handzee Earbuds instead if you specifically want active noise cancellation and you're the kind of person who will genuinely use a touchscreen case — the EQ, ambient mode and find-earbuds tools are real, useful features, not filler. Neither is a bad choice; they're just built for different owners.
how to connect true wireless stereo earbuds
Take both earbuds out of the case and they'll enter pairing mode and find each other automatically. Then open your phone's Bluetooth menu, select the earbud name, and confirm. Both Handzee and zakotu use Bluetooth 5.4 with a 15-meter range, and zakotu will auto-reconnect to the last device the next time you open the case.
how to use true wireless stereo earbuds
Pop them in, and the touch panels handle the basics: play/pause, track skipping, volume and answering calls. On zakotu, touch the upper part of the earbud surface for the most reliable response, and you can use either earbud alone in mono mode. On Handzee, you can also change EQ, ambient mode and spatial audio straight from the charging case screen.
how to charge true wireless stereo earbuds
Drop the earbuds into the case and the case charges them; then recharge the case itself over USB-C. Handzee lists a 1-hour charge time and 68 hours of total playtime, while zakotu lists a 1.5-hour charge, 8 hours per charge, about 45 hours total, and a 10-minute quick charge for 2 hours of playback. A separate LED display on the zakotu case shows each earbud's level.
do these earbuds come with a warranty
Yes — Handzee states a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and zakotu lists a warranty term of 2. I'd still recommend checking the current price and the latest warranty wording on Amazon before ordering, since that's the only place those details are kept up to date.
