Airprint Activator, now known as handyPrint, is an app that lets you put Airprint support on older printing devices that do not natively support this protocol. Designed to run on iOS and Mac OS X, handyPrint may be a great solution for those who either have older printers, or find that Airprint support has been lost during an OS upgrade. We couldn't find handyPrint on the App Store, but there are several sites, including the publisher's (netputing.com), that offer downloads.

handyPrint installs on your favorite iDevice easily enough. It integrates with the menu bar, adding a new \"Open handyPrint\" option that pops up a dialog allowing you to control Airprint access through handyPrint or not. It also shows local printers that are discovered on the network, allowing you to support them through Airprint (even if they do not have native Airprint support). For handyPrint to work with a shared networked printer, the printer has to be accessible by a Mac OS or iOS device that is on and can see the printer, acting as a hub for Airprint capabilities. Turn that device off, and Airprint capabilities to that printer is lost (unless you have other devices that have it enabled).

handyPrint is very easy to use. We added several older Canon and HP printers to our iMac hub device and could then use handyPrint to access them from any iOS or MacOS device that was sharing that iMac. In use, handyPrint is transparent and most users won't worry about Airprint support at all. For those with older printers, handyPrint is a really useful app.

If your printer's status displays "Printer in error state," there may be a problem with the printer itself. If these first two steps did not resolve the error, check the printer for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn't open and the paper isn't jammed.

If your printer is turned on and connected to the network, Windows should find it easily. Available printers can include all printers on a network, such as Bluetooth and wireless printers, or printers that are plugged into another computer and shared on the network. You might need permission to install some printers. To reinstall your printer, follow these steps:

Please wait a moment while Windows searches for the printers that are connected to the device (locally or wirelessly). Windows will then display a list of printers connected to your device. If you see your printer listed, select the Add device button for your printer. If you don't see your device listed, select Add manually.

If the system cannot install the printer automatically, you can reinstall it manually. When you select Add manually, you will then see five options to Find a printer by other options. Select the option that applies best for your situation and then follow the steps provided. All of the options can apply for a printer that is connected wirelessly or through your network. However, if your printer is connected directly to your computer locally, select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and then select Next.

Select Use an existing port and then select the port the printer is connected to. Then select Next. If the printer is connected via USB, select it from the list. There are also options for parallel (LPT) and serial (COM) ports.

If the previous troubleshooting step is not successful, you may need to clear spooler files and restart the spooler service. The print spooler is a file that manages the printing process. To clear and reset the print spooler:

When you connect a printer to your PC or add a new printer to your home network, you can usually start printing right away. Windows supports most printers, and you probably won't have to go out of your way to install special printer software. If you're using Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1, additional printer support and drivers are available through Windows Update.

In the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. (If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.)

Make sure that the printer's electrical cord is plugged into an electrical outlet and that the power switch is turned on. If you're printing to a shared printer or a printer on a network, make sure that all necessary computers and routers are turned on too. If your printer or other equipment is plugged in to a surge protector or a backup power supply, make sure that hardware is plugged in and turned on as well.

Most printers require driver software to work properly. If you recently upgraded from one version of Windows to another, it's possible that the current printer driver is for the previous version of Windows. If you've had recent power outages, viruses, or other computer problems, it's possible that the drivers have become damaged. Downloading and installing the latest driver for your printer can resolve these types of problems.

Download and install the driver yourself . You can search for a driver on the manufacturer's website. Try this if Windows Update can't find a driver for your printer, and the printer didn't come with software that installs a driver.

It works just like the other programs mentioned above in the sense that you need to have the desktop app running at all times in order for print jobs to go through. The smartphone/tablet app is definitely the most professional and polished app out there and it has a lot of features, so if you do some serious printing and need to change printer settings a lot, this might be your best option.

Outside of programs, you can also purchase a hardware device from a company called Lantronix that acts as a print server. The xPrintServer is something I have owned, so I know it works well. The only issues are that you need to make sure your printer is supported and it costs a whopping $200!

Those are pretty much all the options for printing to a non-AirPrint enabled printer on your network. Note that if you print only from Chrome or other Google apps like Gmail, etc., you can easily setup Google Cloud Print and not worry about any of these programs. If you have any questions, feel free to comment. Enjoy!

Use this checklist to install the year-end maintenance and update, to close the payroll year, to update your Payroll system with the 2024 Payroll tax changes, and to print 2023 wage statements before performing 2024 pay runs.

To print all the required forms for each employee at a time (you're using laser form "sets"), simply enter the number of copies you need to print in the "number of copies" field in the Print dialog box that appears after you choose Print in the Print W-2 Forms window. For example, to print four copies of the W-2 statement for each employee, enter "4" in the Print dialog box. Information for two employees will be printed per page: Copy A for two employees, Copy B for two employees, Copy C for two employees, Copy D for two employees, etc. until the required number of copies has been printed for all employees.

To print all forms for all employees, repeat the Printing W-2 Statements procedure as many times as necessary to print the required number of copies. For example, to print copies of the W-2 statements, put the Copy A sheets into the printer and follow the procedure. Copy A W-2 statements will be printed for each employee. Then, put the Copy B sheets into the printer and repeat the procedure, and so on, until all required forms are printed for all employees. be457b7860
