- **Explicit Uploads:** Your images and documents are collected only when you explicitly select a file from your photo library or take a photo using your camera and press the "Scan" or "Extract Text" button.
- We do not access, scan, or read your photo library in the background. Access is strictly limited to the single image you manually select.

The data you upload is used for one specific purpose:
- **Optical Character Recognition (OCR):** To analyze the image of your handwritten notes or documents and convert it into digitized, editable text, returning the result directly to your device.
## 4. WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH? (THIRD-PARTY AI INTEGRATION)
To provide our core OCR and handwriting recognition capabilities, **your selected images and text prompts are transmitted to a third-party AI service: OpenAI.**
- **Data Transmission:** When you request a text extraction, the specific image is securely sent to OpenAI's API to process and digitize the text.
- **In-App Consent:** We request your explicit consent and clearly identify OpenAI as the processing partner via an in-app notice *before* you transmit any document.
## 5. EQUAL PROTECTION BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We strictly vet our third-party partners. We confirm that **OpenAI provides the same or equal protection** of your user data as stated in this Privacy Policy:
- **No AI Training:** OpenAI does not use data submitted via their API (which our App uses) to train or improve their general AI models (like ChatGPT).
- **Zero Data Retention for Training:** Your uploaded images and extracted texts are processed temporarily solely to generate the result and are automatically deleted from OpenAI's servers after processing (typically within 30 days for abuse-monitoring purposes only, never for training).
