Eagan Ultimate Frisbee Club
Welcome to Hammer Time - Eagan Ultimate Frisbee Club!
We are a group of youth who are passionate about the game of ultimate frisbee. This club was started by kids and is run by kids. Whether you've got some ultimate frisbee experience or are a beginner, we invite all skill levels to join us in playing the fun game of ultimate Frisbee!
We believe ultimate frisbee is more than just a game — it’s a way to build connections, challenge ourselves, and be part of something larger than just the sport. The goal of the club is to create a welcoming environment, improve frisbee skills, and create more excitement for the game. We hope that the experiences the youth have over the summer inspire them to join their school team.
Come get some exercise over the summer, make new friends, and learn more about this awesome sport! We can't wait to see you on the field!
Ultimate Frisbee, also known as Ultimate, is a non-contact sport where teams try to score goals in the opposing team’s end zones. Teams either consist of seven players. Players are unable to move while carrying the frisbee, so they throw it back and forth to attempt to score. In 1968, Joel Silver shared his idea of ultimate frisbee with his community. From there, the sport started to spread and the first college ultimate frisbee game was in 1972.
Although ultimate frisbee is a newer sport, it is growing very fast! Ultimate is a unique sport because it requires very little equipment to play. The ultimate frisbee community is very welcoming and fair. Non-professional ultimate frisbee games are played without referees, meaning all decisions are discussed between players. There are open and mixed teams which means anyone can play and become great at Ultimate! About 80 different countries play Ultimate Frisbee professionally. Most U.S. states have an Ultimate Frisbee team and Minnesota’s team is called the Minnesota Wind Chill.
A huge THANK YOU to the Minnesota Wind Chill Foundation for selecting Hammer Time to receive a grant for Summer 2025! Both the Wind Chill Foundation and Hammer Time have the same goal of introducing and encouraging growth in the sport of Ultimate Frisbee! The grant will be used for club programing and the purchase of additional equipment. Discover more about the Minnesota Wind Chill here.
