Message from the Board

We Continue To Work Hard To Make Ham-Com A Great Amateur Radio Convention

Over the past 40 years of HamCom, we have seen many changes in our hobby and our event. While the Irving venue offered Ham-Com room to grow, we heard your complaints. We also saw the obvious issues that construction around the ICC caused. Since the scheduling issue with the Plano Event Centre has been worked out we are returning to the Plano Event Center.

This means that there will again be an outdoor flea market area, with plenty of space for high profile vehicles and vehicles with antennas. The 2018 event will extend from mid-day Friday to mid-day Sunday.

We have resurrected the Steering Committee made up of representatives of clubs. This permits the Directors to get a better view of what you want to see at your convention.

A new redesigned website should provide easy-to-find information and a smooth pre-event registration process. Presentation, Flea Market and Exhibitor registration have a new look and the entire website is mobile device friendly.

As has been offered in the past, we anticipate the National Weather Service will put on a SKYWARN session.

Sincerely,

Ham-Com Inc. Directors
