To promote and cultivate greater interest, support, and cooperation between parents, guardians, faculty, staff, students, and the community in the development, operation, and presentation of the Hamburg Area School District's Music Programs.
What Does HAMA Do?
~Offer scholarships for seniors majoring in music or other performing arts.
~Provide annual grants to music teachers and the school musical.
~Co-host an annual music student recognition banquet.
~Chaperone various functions including: Marching Band parades, games, adjudications/field trips, and overnight trips.
~Operate a concession stand at home football games and musicals.
~Organize fundraisers supporting all music and drama students in the Hamburg School District.
~Maintain Student Grant Fund request program. Music students who participate in designated HAMA fundraisers may submit a request for a grant of funds that they have earned, in order to be reimbursed for, or pay for HASD music trips, lessons, instrument repairs, etc.
Become a Member
Any parent, guardian, or relative of a Hamburg Area School District music or drama student, plus all staff and faculty of the school district are eligible for membership. There are no membership dues.
If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.
