If you want a breathable protective sock to shield your high-flow air filter from dust and debris during car washing or daily riding, choose HABNVUON Air Filter Cover; if you need a set of heavy-duty replacement screws to secure your GM vehicle's air box lid against vibration and leaks, choose winterrock 5PCS. These two products serve entirely different mechanical functions, yet both aim to protect the engine intake system in their own specific way. One wraps around the filter element itself, while the other locks the housing that holds it in place. Confusing them would be a costly mistake, so let's cut through the noise and look at exactly what each kit offers based on its design and specifications.
• HABNVUON Air Filter Cover: Its biggest strength is the ultra-dense mesh that blocks dust without choking airflow, but it is only compatible with cylindrical high-flow filters in specific sizes (Mini, S, or L). This pick is for riders or enthusiasts who want an extra layer of defense for their filter media.
• winterrock 5PCS: Its biggest strength is the robust alloy steel construction that guarantees a tight seal on GM vehicles, preventing unfiltered air from bypassing the filter, but it requires precise T25 socket tools for installation. This pick is for GM owners needing a direct OEM replacement for lost or stripped air box screws.
• Who needs which?: If you are looking for a soft cover to keep grime off the filter surface, grab HABNVUON. If your air box lid is rattling or won't stay sealed, grab winterrock.
The HABNVUON Air Filter Cover is designed as a passive shield rather than a structural component. Its primary function relies on a breathable mesh design that is described as ultra-fine and ultra-dense. This specific construction allows air to flow freely into the intake system while acting as a barrier against dust particles and foreign objects. The goal here is simple: maintain stable operation and extend the service life of the air filter by keeping the mesh clean before the main filter does its work.
This product fits most models of cylindrical high-flow air filters on the market, provided they match one of the three available specifications. You have the Mini size at 50x50 mm, the S size at 155x118x151 mm, and the L size at 150x120x240 mm. The elastic opening design makes installation effortless since no tools are required. You simply slide it over the filter, and the elasticity ensures perfect coverage. It is made of polyester material, which is noted for being anti-corrosive, anti-rust, wear-resistant, and durable. Even after long-term use, this cover maintains its shape without deforming or breaking easily.

Who should buy this? Anyone with a Harley Touring motorcycle or a similar setup using a cylindrical high-flow filter wants to add this layer of protection. It is particularly useful when you are doing maintenance or driving through dusty conditions where the filter might get clogged faster than usual. The compact and lightweight design means you can store it easily without taking up space. However, you must skip this product if your vehicle uses a rectangular filter or if your air box uses a completely different mounting style, as this is strictly a wrap-around sock for cylindrical units.
The winterrock 5PCS kit serves a critical mechanical role in the engine bay of General Motors vehicles. Unlike the HABNVUON cover, these are not soft accessories; they are precision-engineered fasteners made from premium alloy steel. Their job is to lock the air filter housing tight, creating a seal that stops dust and debris from bypassing the filter entirely. If these screws fail or loosen due to vibration, unfiltered air enters the engine intake, which increases wear, reduces fuel efficiency, and compromises performance. This small part has a massive impact on engine health.
These screws are a direct replacement for the GM part number 11611199, designated as BAS01001. They are engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring a secure and precise fit for your air filter assembly. The kit includes five pieces, all finished in black, making them suitable for a wide range of GM models including Buick Enclave, Cadillac CTS, Escalade, Chevrolet Colorado, Equinox, Malibu, Silverado, Sonic, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Pontiac G6, and Saturn Outlook, spanning various years from the mid-2000s to 2020. The bolts feature a T25 star-shaped socket on the head and measure 1.57 x 0.47 x 0.23 inches. This precise sizing ensures smooth thread engagement and prevents loosening even on bumpy roads.
Who should buy this? Any owner of a GM vehicle listed above who has lost, broken, or stripped their original air box screws needs this kit immediately. The alloy steel construction resists rust and engine-bay heat, allowing them to survive repeated filter changes and harsh environments. If your air box lid is rattling or feels loose, these screws will restore the integrity of the seal. You should skip this product if you drive a non-GM vehicle or if you are looking for a filter cover rather than a hardware replacement. Always verify your vehicle model and part specifications before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

I would buy the winterrock 5PCS if I were maintaining a GM truck or SUV because a loose air box is a genuine threat to engine longevity. A missing screw allows dirt straight into the combustion chamber, which is a much more serious issue than a slightly dirty filter. However, for my personal setup involving a motorcycle with a cylindrical filter, I would choose the HABNVUON Air Filter Cover. It adds a necessary layer of defense during car washing and dusty rides without altering the mechanical integrity of the intake system. Both are essential tools for their specific applications, but choosing the wrong one solves nothing. For car washing specifically, the HABNVUON cover provides that extra splash-proof barrier I trust to keep the filter clean longer.
It comes in Mini, S, and L sizes to accommodate different diameters and lengths of round filters.
