1. Introduction
Habitly is an offline habit tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, what it does not collect, and how you can control your data.
By using Habitly, you agree to this policy.
2. Data we store
Habitly stores the following information locally on your device only:
Habits you create (name, description, category, color, icon, schedule, reminder time)
Completion history and streaks
App settings (theme, haptics, notification preference)
Unlocked achievements
Optional feedback text you type in the Feedback screen before sending email
This data is saved on the device using local storage (AsyncStorage). Habitly does not create a user account and does not operate a server for this app.
3. Data we do not collect
Habitly does not collect:
Name, email, phone number, or other contact details (unless you choose to send feedback through your own email app)
Location
Contacts
Photos, files, or media
Advertising ID
Analytics, crash reports, or tracking pixels
Payment information
The app works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.
4. Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Habitly asks only for notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Habitly does not send remote/cloud push notifications from a server.
If you deny notification permission, the app continues to work. Reminders stay off until you enable them.
5. Permissions
Habitly requests only:
It does not request location, storage, camera, microphone, contacts, or advertising permissions.
6. Sharing, rating, and feedback
These features are optional and started by you:
Share App uses your device share sheet
Rate Us may open the Google Play listing
Feedback may open your email app. If you send an email, that message is handled by your email provider, not by a Habitly server
7. Third parties
Habitly does not sell, rent, or share your habit data with third parties. Because habit data stays on your device, it is not transmitted to us or to advertisers.
If you use Share, Rate Us, or email Feedback, those actions may involve Google Play or your email provider under their own policies.
8. Children’s privacy
Habitly is a general productivity app and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Your choices and data deletion
You can:
Edit or delete any habit and its history in the app
Turn reminders, haptics, and theme settings on or off
Uninstall Habitly to remove all locally stored data from the device
Because data never leaves the device, we cannot recover it after you delete it or uninstall the app.
10. Data security
Habit data remains on your device. We do not transfer it over the internet. Protect access to your device with your usual lock screen or account security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
