Gym Quotes – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Gym Quotes: Workout Motivation app for Android (the "Application"), created by Vasiloiu Stefan Alexandru (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered free of charge with optional paid features (Premium) and is supported by advertising.
1. Summary
- Your personal content (name, favorites, progress, settings, background photo) stays on your device. We do not run our own servers and we do not upload it anywhere.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
2. Information stored only on your device
The Application stores the following information locally, on your device only:
- the name you enter at first launch (used only to greet you inside the app);
- your favourite quotes, daily progress, streak and achievements;
- your settings: theme, background, font, brightness, notification preferences;
- a copy of the background photo you choose (see section 3).
This information is not sent to the Service Provider or to any third party. It is deleted when you uninstall the Application or clear its data.
3. Photos (custom background)
If you choose to use your own background photo, the Application opens the Android system photo picker. The Application receives only the single photo you select; it does not have access to the rest of your gallery and does not request permission to read your photos. The selected photo is copied into the Application's private storage on your device and is never uploaded.
4. Sharing quotes and setting wallpapers
- Share: when you tap Share, the Application creates an image of the quote on your device and passes it to the Android share menu. You choose where it is sent. Free users' images include a small "Gym Quotes" watermark and a link to the app's Google Play page.
- Wallpaper (Premium): when you choose to set a quote as your wallpaper, the Application creates the image on your device and sets it as your home and/or lock screen wallpaper. This uses the standard Android "set wallpaper" permission. No data leaves your device.
5. Notifications
Daily quote and streak reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the Application (Menu → Settings → Notifications) or in your device settings.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Application shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device type and interactions with ads, as described in Google's policies:

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): before personalised ads are requested, the Application shows Google's consent form. You can accept, refuse, or manage your options. You can change your choice at any time from Menu → Settings → Ad Privacy.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings. Premium users do not see ads.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases (Premium subscriptions and the legacy "Remove Ads" purchase) are processed by Google Play. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Google Play informs the Application whether a purchase or subscription is active, so that the related features can be unlocked. 8. Third-party services
The Application uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services and Google Play Billing
- Google AdMob (including Google's User Messaging Platform for consent)
- Google Fonts (fonts may be downloaded from Google's servers the first time they are used)
9. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to answer you. Emails are kept in our support inbox for as long as needed to handle your request. We do not use your email for marketing.
10. Children
The Application is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
Your personal content stays on your device, protected by Android's app sandbox. We do not operate servers that store your personal data.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, and to withdraw consent.
- Data stored on your device: you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the Application.
- Advertising consent: Menu → Settings → Ad Privacy.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
