Alina is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at West Virginia University, with a focus on using AI for healthcare. Her current research focuses on developing foundation models for endoscopy images using federated learning, aiming to enhance diagnostic accuracy while preserving patient privacy.
Prior to joining Ph.D., Alina worked as a Machine Learning Engineer for four years, where she developed and deployed machine learning models across various applications. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Looking ahead, Alina plans to concentrate future research in exploring how advanced computer vision techniques can be applied to medical imaging and enhance diagnostic processes and improve patient outcomes.
