Project Access is an outreach recruitment program developed by the PA Education Association (PAEA) that aims to encourage high school students from underrepresented minority groups to consider the PA profession as a career. The primary goal is to increase the number of underrepresented PAs, provide more accessible primary care, and eliminate health disparities. The program aims to help students become competitive candidates for PA programs by preparing them early in their education.
Project Access at GW consists of a diverse group of PA and MPH/PA students inspired to mentor and connect with students from underrepresented communities. Our primary goal is to introduce students to the physician assistant profession and encourage them to further their education into this exciting and meaningful career.Β Students will have the opportunity to hear directly from current PA students and learn about resources to help them in their educational pursuits.
