Move-In Dates:

Wednesday August 12th: Football, Men's Soccer, and Women's Soccer
Friday, August 14th: Student Leaders
Monday, August 17th: Women's Volleyball, Dance, Cheerleading, and Cross Country
Friday, August 21st: New Students
Saturday, August 22nd: Returning Students

Move-In Procedure and Guidelines:

  • Students should go to their residence hall to check-in upon arrival to campus

        • Hull, L Apartments, Langrock, and Nielsen residents should enter the residential parking lot off Hull Street

        • Knudsen residents should enter the Student Center / Wellness Center parking lot

  • Students will receive their room key, room condition sheet, a notice of missing documents, and parking sticker at their residence hall

        • New students will also receive their student ID and welcome week schedule

  • The check-in location will be outside, weather permitting. (Weather back-up locations in parentheses)

        • Hull Apartments / Hull Suites: Outside - Hull Courtyard (Inside: Hull Apartment 1st Floor Lounge)

        • L Apartments: Outside - Near L Apartment East Entrance (Inside: L Apartment Classrooms in basement)

        • Langrock: Outside - Near Langrock North Entrance (Inside: 1st floor Langrock Lobby)

        • Knudsen: Outside - Near Knudsen West Entrance (Inside: 1st floor Knudsen Lobby)

        • Nielsen: Outside - Near Nielsen West Entrance (Inside: 1st floor Nielsen Lobby)

  • Before checking in, all students will need to complete a symptomatic questionnaire

        • The students will get the questionnaire by email at least 48 hours before their move-in date

        • Any students who have symptoms will be moved into a temporary isolation room if needed.

  • All students and guest will need to do a one-time temperature check before moving anything into the room

  • All staff, students, and guests are expected to wear masks during the move-in process

  • Other steps Grand View University is taking to increase social distancing

        • No outside volunteers will be touching students’ belongings

        • All exterior and interior doors will be propped open

        • Sanitization wipes will be at all check-in stations

        • Extending move-in times
