At the Graphics-Visualization-Computing-Lab at IIIT-Bangalore, we work on topics of spatio-temporal data analysis and data science workflows. Our interests lie in developing interdisciplinary data representations and machine learning models involving second-order tensors, matrices, and complex networks for spatio-temporal and multivariate data. We work with large-scale datasets such as point clouds (unstructured data), volumetric grids/tabular data (structured data), and networks. Our data science workflows use ensemble models, including multiscale representations, mixture of experts, consensus voting, and uncertainty analysis.
We work on applications in digital twins for geosciences/earth observations, natural hazard maps, gaze tracking for cognitive load estimation, reverse engineering chart images, biological and brain networks from biomedical data, population health data from large-scale surveys and data collections, and related topics.
We actively work with domain experts, such as GIS practitioners, oceanographers, medical doctors, survey data analysts, and biologists, in devising novel solutions.
We are closely affiliated with the E-Health Research Center (EHRC) at IIIT-B.
