Our company, GECo, was established in 2019. We are devoted to resolving disaster clean up and reconstruct the electric grid through groundbreaking designs in order to increase productivity and safety during natural disasters.
GECo's goal is to bring safety and electricity to communities affected by natural disasters.
From our beginnings six years ago, our team and our surrounding have evolved. To begin, the team met in a small garage, but now, we are fortunate to work in a specialized lab. The incorporation uses the diverse talents of our staff through a wide range of positions. We value unique backgrounds, striving to represent many demographics. This year, our team has accomplished almost equally represented genders.
Our current project, Stickers, is a product that will be a revolutionary change to the safety of linemen.
... To make communities affected by disasters more safe.
... To help reconstruct damaged electrical grids.
... To help collect and properly dispose of an debris that is cause by natural disasters.
GECo. is devoted to helping electrical line workers and improving efficiency when facing emergency situations, whether it be repairing a simple residential line or assisting with major natural disaster cleanups.
Stickers is our solution to electrical and safety problems created by natural disasters. From power line repairs to debris cleanup to transporting insulators and transformers- our product can do it all.
Our design has three separate components in order to maximize productivity- the base, the arm with a slider, and the forklift.
Our base is build on a strong 18" by 18" plywood for balance. Our wheels are specially designed to withstand rough terrain; they take our product wherever it needs to go.
Our arm is designed to be long enough to reach high power lines, but it's light weight makes it's movements quick and accurate. It's reach is up to 52", making it an ideal system to install power lines of up to 345KV.
Our forklift is multi-functional; it can perform several tasks, such as removing debris, installing substation transformers, and residential transformer. It's pulley system has a range of 23".
